The Lure of a Vampire

You're A Faerie!

For the second time in her life Chastity was kidnapped and woke up in a strange bed, in a room that wasn't hers, and in a house she didn't know.

But unlike last time she didn't wake up slowly, she jolted awake as if she'd been electrocuted and jumped out of the bed.

Running towards the door she was disappointed to find it locked but banged on it, “Let me out!” When no help came she continued to beat on the door and scream.

Finally, after a long time the door came open quickly, almost smacking her in the face, “Shut up,” the man who kidnapped her barked angrily, glaring at her.

“Let me out. I want to go home.”

“To your home or back to that vampire,” the werewolf asked.

“It doesn't matter,” Chastity told him before crossing her arms over her chest. “But you should let me go. You can't keep me here.”

“Well, how about this. You'll hate your vampire soon enough and want to stay with me.”

“Even if I hated Max with every fiber in my being, I would not stay with you.”

“How about you sit down,” the man offered, motioning towards the bed. Ut when Chastity refused he said, “Here let me introduce myself, I'm Connor, the Alpha of the Northern Pack.”

Chastity frowned deeper, “Okay and that's supposed to make you important? Not impressed,” Chastity scoffed, up turning her face snootily.

“Will you be impressed to know your vampire was intent on marrying another human, that is before he realize you were the chosen one?”

“What?” Chastity whispered in disbelief.

The shit eating grin on Connor's face spread, “Did that impress you, little human? Yes, her name was Ebony Dark’ness Dementia Raven Way and she was to be his Bride until I started to sniff around you and he decided you were a better choice and ousted her.”

“But why? You said I was the chosen one? Of what?”

“This will be easier if you sit down,” he insisted again.

Chastity stomped her foot, “No! TELL ME RIGHT NOW!”

“In the supernatural world, we all have one similar prophecy. A half human girl will come and whichever race she chooses, werewolf or vampire, will be prosperous while the other will decline into extinction. It's said, once made into her chosen species she will be powerful, so powerful she could rule the world if she wants.”

“What? No!” Chastity hollered, shock at his words overtaking her. “I'm just a teenager I'm not special. There's no way it'd about me so you must have made a mistake.”

“No, I didnt. You've got a distinct smell about you and I'd recognize it anywhere. Your mother, was she around much?”

“For awhile but she killed herself,” Chastity whispered, still remembering the feel of finding her mother sprawled across her bed, pill bottle in hand.

“Such a shame, faeries look down on suicide being such a lovely sort of species.”

“No, she was human. Full human, like me.”

“You've never been full human, stupid girl. The prophecy even says so.”

“So that means you've got the wrong girl, you stupid dog,” Chastity growled at him. “I. AM. HUMAN.”

Connor jumped up to the bed and stalked over towards her, advancing quickly as Chastity stood her ground, “You are half faery, I can tell by the tickle in my nose. Its like your scent was glitter bombed and I can't get all of it out. Your mother was a princess of the highest order and to make sure the prophecy came true she sought out a human to help it along. Then you were born.”

“Your fucking nuts.”

“You probably always felt so lonely, even amongst the humans because they were mean to you, right?”

“How did you know that?”

“I followed up but knew the moment I saw those girls pushing you around that you did nothing to antagonize them. Its your fae blood, it drives humans crazy with jealousy, greed, maliciousness. It calls to the darker side of humans which is why they don't often comingle.”

“I'm not… there's no way…” Chastity whispered, tears forming in her eyes. Her whole life was a lie, everything she believed was just wool that had been pulled over her eyes.

“Your father hated you and your mother for reasons unknown to you but it was all that prolonged contact. It made him violent, crazy even with everything pouring out onto the both of you.”

“Well, if my mom was a princess of faeries why didn't she take us away? Why did she stay? Why did she leave me behind with him?”

“I don't knoe, whatever reasons she had were her own but I know she had to leave her where vampires and werewolves could find you. The fae world is fifth demonsional, only accessible to fae or faekind. If she retreated there with you, we'd have never found you. It'd have been like finding a needle in a needle stack.”

“This is too unbelievable. I just cant…” Chastity swayed and abruptly fainted.

I, of course, did not make up Ebony. That credit goes to the author of My Immortal, the worst FanFiction ever written. Such a pillar of what NOT to write when Quizilla was big, I decided that she would be ideal for this role.
