“Alright, so uh. Home life. What’s the deal?”
“Parents can kinda suck sometimes.”
“Tell me about it.”
“My family have traditional views when it comes to how a household should run, I guess. You know, the men make the money and the women stay at home and take care of their kids. Which is their choice. It’s fine. It’s just not how I want to live my life, and my parents don’t seem to understand that.”
“What do you want to do?”
“I want to be a doctor. I want to help people. I’m down to have kids one day, but I want to establish myself in a career and be able to financially independent before I find someone. If I even ever find someone.”
“I’m not bullshitting when I say this, but if there’s anyone that I can see being a doctor, it’s you.”
“Are you sure you’re not bullshitting me?”
“I think it’s awesome that you know what you’re doing with your life. Me, on the other hand, I have no clue.”
“None at all?”
“I mean, I have ideas, but no concrete plan.”
“Ideas are better than nothing at all. Besides, you have plenty of time to figure it out.”
“That’s true. Hey, where are you going to uni?”
“UCA.”
“Really? So am I.”
“That makes me happy.”

“Now I won’t be alone on campus.”

“It’s nice to know that next year when everyone’s going off in their separate ways, we’ll be together.”
