A Summer Nowhere

Jobie Newsome lives in a quiet rural town where nothing ever happens. She's spent her whole life waiting for something--anything--interesting to happen to her. By the time the summer of her 17th year hits, she's given up. But then things start to change.

First, she shares an encounter with the boy of her dreams and has to decide whether or not he's all she thought he was cracked up to be.

Then, her mother's boyfriend's son and daughter come to live with them for the summer and start taking up space in her house. Their mischievous nature pushes Jobie into more adventures than she's used to taking.

Along with her best friend Sam and their mutual friend Gary, Jobie sets off to become somebody she's always wanted to be.

But first, she has to figure out who that is.
