The Dizygotic Killer

Three: Uncertainty

I did three things today.

I bought more orange juice, I watered my plants, and I tuned into CBCN's six o'clock news.

Apparently one of Jeffersontown’s Middle School teachers spoke up about the Dizygotic case. Miss Maude or whatever. She supposedly knew the killer when she was his second-grade teacher. This morning, Miss Maude spoke up to the press and she had a lot to say. Or whatever.

“If there was one rule they didn’t follow, it would be keeping one’s hands to one’s self. They struggled with this during the school year. That poor kid – you'd never forget.”

A reporter pressed, “And you’re sure this is the same person as the possible killer on our streets?”

She struggled to nod. “You’d remember this student if you had them.”

While sipping on my juice, I let out a heavy sigh.

What a liar.
