A Little Bit of Everything

THERE WAS A heavy feeling sinking in my chest. It feels grey and full. And it could ruin the happiest of feelings.

Yesterday, I told Jasper I was transferring out of Seattle University during hell week. I told him that I couldn't afford another semester here on my own. He looked hurt. And I wanted to say something else that wouldn't cause him any more pain, but I didn't want to bring him false hope.

He was quiet.

Maybe he’ll just not care.
