And she did lose him. Slowly, over time.

He stopped watering her flowers, her garden unable to flourish, slowly decaying as the clouds moved in. There was no nourishment, no growth.

She withered, became a shell of herself covered in dust. He was gone.

He took her grace and her power, her laughter and her tears. She was lost on the wind, forgotten in the shadows. The flames of love had burned through her, leaving nothing behind but ashes.

Eventually, with enough time and care, she would bloom again.
