Branded and Banished

In the world of the Avatar, chaos runs rampant as the fire nation attacks. Aang, Katara, Sokka, Zuko, and Toph are some of the well known heroes that save the nations, but there was another. Her name is Sui-Mei and she is the older sister to Avatar Aang as well as his spiritual guide.

Born from an air nomad and fire nation admiral Sui-Mei was left by her mother. She was trained in fire nation combat, but failed to gain his love as she was an air bender. When she turned 12 she was able to leave him and returned to her people, the air nomads, where she finally found her mother.

Her mother trained her the ways of the nomads, and how her faction were more free willed than most of the other nomads. She revealed to Sui-Mei that she has a half bother, named Aang. Her mother also revealed the plot of the air nomads demise that she was able to get from her father. Sui-Mei vowed that she would do anything she could to protect her brother.
