Warped

I almost didn’t recognise you. Taking drugs doesn’t just warp your reality, it alters my perspective too. Your bright eyes have become dull and sunken. Where did your enthusiasm go? You can no longer articulate the thoughts inside your head. What happened to your poetry? Your body receives bizarre instructions of movement but fails to follow them anyway. You used to dance. You have morphed into a diminished version of yourself, and I don’t want to be a part of that person’s life. Straighten yourself out, or I’ll soon be just a memory to you.
