Apocalyptic Queen

The night sky was painted red in the distance as the flames ate up the buildings of the nearby city. Agonizing screams could be heard for miles from the millions of people who were stuck there. It pained me to watch from the distance. The screams echoed in my mind as I turned to put my former hometown behind me. It had to be done. They all had the virus inside them and it wouldn't have been long before they turned into flesh eaters. It was better this way, I tried to convince myself. This was the world now. The fewer there were, the easier it would be to survive. A smirk formed on my face. My plan had worked. I now had control of the world.
