Ribbons

Mother says that it happens to all girls, but I think she is just trying to make me feel normal. I know that this doesn’t really happen to other girls my age. She forgets that I was in school not that long go and I saw other girls. They all had long hair that they tied into complicated designs or threaded ribbons through, but not me. I can’t do that anymore. My hair has all fallen out because of the medicine doctors put into me. All I wanted is to really be normal and have hair to wear ribbons in again.
