Adjusting

"Jessie, why the heck are we behind a candy store?" Aly asked with an annoyed tone. "And why did we run out like that?"

"Because, I didn't want Joe to see me." I replied, still kind of jumpy.

"Joe...?" Aly asked, confused. "Who's Joe?"

"Joe Jonas" I said, rolling my eyes a little.

"Joe Jonas?" Aly repeated, wide eyed.

"No, the candy man." I said sarcastically. "Yes, Joe Jonas."

"Why were you running from Joe Jonas?" Aly asked, curiously. "How do you even know them?"

"I was hanging out with all of them, and at the end, it didn't turn out good." I answered "And my dad's friends with their dad, and they were helping us unpack.

"Ohh, you guys should work things out."

"Yeah, whatever, I'm going to call my mom to pick us up now." I took out my phone, anxious to change the subject.

"So, did you girls have fun?" My mom asked.

"Yea." I answered back.

"Good." my mom said. "Aren't you friends with those Jonas boys?"

"Yeah, I guess." I answered. "Why?"

"Oh, because their dad invited us over for dinner." She replied.
