Fools
I looked at the police car as it gets smaller in my sight. Biting my lips, I recalled the ignorance the thinner police officer gave when I told them to look at the case as kidnap, but they were convinced the girl's father took her away instead - judging how there was not a sign of struggle on the spot. They have yet to get in touch with her old man though, and her mother has been on a hysteric point.
"Tch. What a bunch of fools."
Just then I noticed the unmistakable cat by the wall. It has been lurking in the area more often than it does few days ago. Wait, aren't cats sensitive to smells?
Blinking, I laughed at myself. For a moment, I thought it turned its head towards me.
That's what a dog does best! Just what am I thinking, Cadence haha...
When I stopped laughing and caught the cat's eyes staring into mine, I smiled. "You know, lil Shelly shared her bread with you when you took a nap here previously. I just hope she'll be safe."
I looked away and dropped my smile.
"The police are just not so reliable, eh? They can't even smell the traces of crime."
