The Shards of the Moon

My parents named me Luna, after the goddess of the moon. Of course, when people hear "goddess of the moon," they think of Diana or Juno, Artemis or Hera, not Luna, or her Greek counterpart Selene. Truth be told, I don't believe in all of that weird mythology stuff anyway. Or at least I didn't until the day before I turned eighteen.

Weird things started to happen around me. Or, rather, I caused weird things to happen. Sometimes, I feel like the goddess after which I was named. I'm not even sure how that can be possible.

But it feels more and more possible every day that I am in this skin.
