All of You
1/1
Entering the locker rooms, Ryan ran a hand over his face and punched the lockers with a growl of frustration. Staring at his now bleeding knuckles, Ryan sank to the ground and rested his head back against the wall. Hearing the door open, he quickly got to his feet and relaxed a little as TJ appeared around the corner.
"I've been looking everywhere for you, what happened?" TJ asked, motioning to Ryan's hand and grabbing it to take a closer look.
"It's nothing," Ryan replied, ripping his hand out of TJ's grasp and moving over to the sink.
"What about the black eye is that nothing as well?"
"No, that was my dad's reaction to me getting a C in chemistry," Ryan mumbled, putting his hand under the tap and hissing as the water hit the open wounds, "You know, I keep reaching out to people... to you, to my dad and for once I wish that someone would reach back."
"Ry..." TJ started, but Ryan simply shook his head and continued.
"I give everybody one hundred percent of me and all I get in return is pieces," Ryan said, turning off the tap and turning to look at TJ.
"You know that you have all of me, Ry," TJ stated, stepping forward and cupping Ryan's cheek.
"No I don't, Rochelle has all of you and I've tried to be okay with watching you together... but I can't do it anymore," Ryan confessed.
"Don't do this," TJ begged as Ryan pulled away from his touch, "Please don't do this."
"I'm sorry... we're done."
TJ was just about to respond, when the rest of the team started to arrive and Ryan slipped away to get changed for the game. The team played well during the first half, racing into the lead with a couple of well-played touch downs and some luck.
"Ryan," TJ called as the team vacated the field to watch the cheerleaders from both teams perform for the half way show.
"I have nothing left to say to you."
"Okay, but there's something I have to say to you and I should've said it before... I love you."
"You gotta stop doing that."
"What?"
"Saying things that make me wanna kiss you."
"Go ahead."
Staring at TJ for a few moments, Ryan shook his head in disbelief and moved to walk away. Feeling TJ's hand grab his arm, he turned back to protest and found himself silenced by TJ's lips on his. In that moment their biggest secret was laid bare for everyone to see, but TJ was kissing him and nothing else seemed to matter.
"TJ..." I whispered, ignoring the teams cheering and wolf whistles.
"I love you," he repeated as he pulled away slightly, resting his forehead against Ryan's and kissing him quickly on the lips with a smile.
"I love you too."
Turning their attention back to the field, Ryan couldn't help rolling his eyes as the team slapped them on the back and glanced over as TJ entwined their fingers.
"It's about time," Chad told them with a grin, "Come on love birds, we've got a game to win."
