I Will Make You Believe....

The First Day

When five rolled around, despite it being the time Trina should be sleeping she was punctual in calling me. The sun lighting up her face as she was sitting in our living room. She immediately knew what to do and had me doing my makeup like a pro. Neutral everything and my hair was curled and then put up in a high rise ponytail. The look was me but elegant and I loved her for being the person that could do that when even I couldn't.

"So where is he taking you?" I shrugged as I carried her into the room and dug through my suitcase for undergarments and socks.

"He just said fancy. He threatened to kiss me under the Eiffel Tower though." She screamed loudly and I muted the phone frantically.

When I saw her start questioning me and not screaming I unmuted it.

"-me that he did that? When did he even do that?!" I groaned as I stood up and unpacked the bag with the dress in it. They had put it in one of those garment bags so it wouldn't wrinkle.

"He did it on the bus...I thought he was going to kiss me then..." She squealed and made me tell her the entire story.

"That's...." She was speechless, or so I thought.

"Hot as FUCK" I glared at her. I wasn't against cussing and I did so every once in awhile, but she knew that she was being extreme right now.

"Don't give me that look. You just met the boy that's going to be your first everything. I demand one of your children be named after me." I rolled my eyes.

"Whatever Trina. Let's just see if I won't freak out when he kisses me or something." I left her, the phone, on the bed and walked to the other side of the room to change.

"Oh my god! You're totally gonna kiss him tonight." My cheeks flushed and I had never been so thankful for the makeup on my face to cover that up.

"Trina, I don't do that and you know that..." She groaned.

"He's gonna kiss you, whatever!" I didn't respond as I was putting on the dress. It was 5:45 and I would be lying if I said I wasn't freaking out.

"Where did you go?!" She barked at me after I sat down to slide my shoes on.

"I'm getting dressed! Gimme a moment." I stood and brushed the dress down before walking in front of the phone.

"Chips! You're gorgeous!" I smiled at her. My best friend always has my interest at heart and I knew I could trust her with my everything.

"Ok, I have to go downstairs though. I'm leaving my phone here so I'll let you know what happens after."

"Good luck! My little baby is growing up!" I chuckled and rolled my eyes before hanging up the phone and putting the nearly dead electronic on the charger and slipping my room key and some cash into my shoe to leaving the room.

My nerves were starting to get the better of me as I took the elevator downstairs. Josh was so invested in me. While I didn't see why someone could be interested in me, I couldn't deny that I had feelings for him as well at this point. These thoughts diminished as the doors opened and I saw Josh pacing around the lobby. He looked up a moment after, probably sensing me staring at him as I walked towards him. He smiled.

"Hey." He sounded almost breathless as I stood in front of him.

"Hey." I responded with a chuckle.

"Ready for dinner?" I nodded and him and he slowly reached down to take my hand.

Warmth spread through me at the touch as he took me outside to a taxi that had been outside. Once we were seated he gave the driver directions to a place to eat that he must've made reservations at.

"Hey," He spoke after a few minutes of us driving," You look gorgeous tonight." I blushed again and realized I couldn't hide behind my hair. Hence why Trina had made me put it up.

"Thanks, you're handsome as well." He was in black skinny jeans and a black button down. When I realized he was wearing black vans and not dress shoes I was ecstatic.

His only response was to grab my hand again as we rode in silence to the restaurant. It was a short 20 minute drive and I couldn't help but smile as Josh rubbed soothing circles on the back of my hand the entire time. Until I gasped and mentally cursed myself that I didn't bring my phone as we drove past the Eiffel Tower. I had purposefully not gone with the guys earlier because I wanted the first time I saw it to be tonight.

"It's beautiful." He chuckled.

"I thought you went and saw it today?" He asked me as we came to a stop.

He quickly got out and opened the door for me. I smiled as he took my hand and paid the driver.

"I wanted tonight to be the first time I saw it."

He smiled widely as he lead us into the restaurant. The reservation was under his name and I was shocked when he sat me down with an amazing view of the tower.

"Josh, this is so extravagant." He chuckled.

"I figured I could get you out on one fancy date before we start doing the back lounge movie dates." I chuckled. That would indeed be our lives for a while if we continued to date.

"I think it's nice. Thank you."

We spent dinner making small talk and joking around. Josh ordered everything and I had to ask him if he spoke French. He didn't, he had memorized a bunch of stuff just for tonight. The idea made me laugh as I actually spoke French and watched him get flustered as I would say random things to him that he had to guess. He had dessert brought to us even. A wonderful chocolate cake to share.

As I went to take the first bite, I heard the sound of his phone camera going off. He looked at me and had a slight blush on his cheeks.

"I forgot to turn the sound off." I chuckled as he looked so disappointed, but he took another picture instead.

"Gimme! I want one too!" he chuckled and handed the phone to me so I could take some pictures.

"So," He started after we settled down to finish our meal," I heard a rumor that you think you're better than me at drums..." I scoffed.

"That's not what I said. I was just kidding...." He chuckled at the near whine I said this with.

"I believe you....but you have to play for me..." I sighed. Music has always been my escape and I couldn't help but smile at his request.

"Just you."

He smiled and nodded to me as the waiter came by with the check. Much to his surprise, I slipped the money from my shoe into the book. Despite his protesting, I asked him if we could go walked around. he didn't need to be convinced.

We exited the restaurant and he immediately grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the tower.

"How did we do tonight?" I chuckled at him.

"You did amazing. Thank you for taking me out." He smiled and squeezed my hand gently.

We walked around the park of the tower for a good twenty minutes before we heard a busker playing some music closer to the tower.

"Shall we?" I gave him a confused look before he pulled me over to the busker who sat just a few hundred yards from the tower.

He swung me around, grabbing me around the waist and immediately started dancing with me. I couldn't help be laugh and lace my hand with his and rest my other arm on his shoulder.

"Did you plan this?" I asked him with a chuckle.

"Yes," He chuckled," in another dimension maybe." I laughed loudly as the man playing the music just smiled at us and changed the tune to something softer and easier for us to dance to.

Something changed at that moment. His eyes focused very intensely into mine causing me to blush yet again. He smiled softly and twirled me around to the music. We dance for so long that the busker actually stopped for the night and left, leaving us to twirl under the tower and it's lights alone. It was beautiful and so comforting to have someone this in sync with me.

"Hey." I looked up at Josh as he stopped us," You're beautiful."

Instead of blushing though, I froze as his hands came up to lightly hold both sides of my face.

"I mean it." Before I could respond, he had gently placed his lips against my own for the smallest of seconds. As he went to pull away though, I grabbed his shirt and kept him there. The smirk on his face is what broke the kiss finally.

"I'm guessing you liked that?" He chuckled.

I looked up at the tower behind us and then back to him.

"I don't think I would've liked it any other way."
