I Will Make You Believe....

Who are you?

Around 6 that night, Josh left to his room to change and take a shower so I took the time to face time Trina.

"Hey." She answered dully. She was still at work and was focusing on the computer so I knew she wasn't mad at me.

"I'm sorry I didn't call you back. Josh was in here all night." She turned to face me.

"Did you..." I shook my head.

"No. I couldn't sleep so I asked him if he was awake and he came to my room. He just left to shower and change. We did a number on room service and X-Files though." I turned the phone and showed her the room service cart.

"Dude he really likes you." Trina wasn't her usual self. She was quiet and I wasn't sure it was 100% for being tired.

"We were talking about what it is today. I invited him to friendsgiving." Her jaw dropped and she squealed.

"Guys! Josh Dun is coming to Friendsgiving!" Her coworker immediately stared at her and their jaws dropped.

They all began squealing and freaking out. I couldn't help but laugh.

"But yeah I think I'm gonna tell him I want a relationship..." Trina started freaking out even more.

"My sweet baby Chips is all grown up!!" I chuckled at her words.

"We do need to talk about friendsgiving though. How many people were you expecting and what did we wanna ask people to bring and such?" She began listing off names and food offerings. Different side dishes and drinks they had offered to bring as Trina and I always handled the main dishes and dessert. Somewhere around us discussing what proteins we wanted, I heard the door click meaning someone was going to walk in. I had given Josh the key in case I fell asleep so it was most likely him.

"Trina, I think someone's looking for me. I'll be home in two days alright?" Josh walked in, shirtless and still dripping wet from his shower.

"Ok, now don't get married without me in those two days!" I quickly hung up the face time call as Josh just laughed.

"Wowwwwww she is pushing it isn't she?" I nodded.

"Yeah, she's convinced she will be my maid of honor. I haven't told her that I'll probably ask Tyler yet." His jaw dropped as he plopped down on the bed next to me.

"That's no fair! He is my best man!" I scoffed.

"Jordan is gonna be mad..." he stared at me and then we both burst into laughter.

"Are you ok with us going out to get dinner?" I looked down at the basketball shorts and cut up tank top I was in.

"Just wear that." I looked over at him and he was slipping on a shirt, must've been the one he left here from when he slept here last night.

"Yeah let's grab some food. Maybe not ice cream since that was breakfast." He chuckled

"Let's get breakfast then!" I chuckle as he stood and pulled me with him.

We spent that day and night together again. The next morning we separated to do our work. I couldn't help but smile as Josh continued to text me all day asking about friendsgiving arrangements. I also was confirming things with Trina. She was extremely excited to have me home for two weeks, but of course she was excited to meet Josh again. Without freaking out this time.

Around noon I left everyone to go to the bank and figured I could grab lunch before I had to pack up the boxes. I sat in the truck with my food, counting all of the remaining merchandise and packing up whatever wouldn't be needed for the last date for the runner to ship out with me in the morning before we left.

"Hey!" I looked over and Tyler was climbing up into the truck.

"Hey, what's up?" I smiled at him as I threw another box down and began pulling out shirt stacks to count.

"Oh not much. Just esplorin' I don't think I've been in this truck before." I chuckled as he took a seat on one of the road cases we hadn't brought in today.

"Dude, same." He laughed.

"Actually I wanted to ask you a few things." He sounded kind of serious so I put the shirts down and looked over at him.

"Anything. Fire away."

"You do like Josh right?" I frowned at him for a second. He thought I was using him, it was exactly what I worried about.

"No I don't." His face looked shocked. He couldn't even respond to me. He went to stand up and I pushed on his chest to sit him back down.

"Tyler. I'm 26 and I've been touring for ten years. In those ten years I've never dated anyone because of exactly what you asked me just a minute ago," he looked even more confused. That's when I knew I needed to lay it out for him and stood in front of him to make eye contact

"I'm not here to fuck your best friend and meet someone new that will give me a better job or a better name. If I wanted that, I would've done it a month ago when I wasn't working for you." His face went red at my words.

"I've been working extremely hard for more than half my life to get where I am. When Josh came to me and expressed his feelings, I had suppressed that part of my mind and body for so long that even though it's there and I do care about him. It's something I need to figure out before any kind of commitment happens between the two of us." He took a deep breath.

"If it's something you want, even if you're not willing to admit it, why hide it?" I took a deep breath.

"For the same reason you came and asked me these questions..." he frowned and averted his eyes. His was probably feeling guilty for the things he had asked me. I understood though.

"Tyler," he looked up at me again," I promise you that I will never intentionally hurt you or your best friend. I'm here for work and for some reason he just won't leave me alone." We both chuckled at these words.

"I mean he's just a boy. He's gonna follow you around." We both laughed, diffusing the tension.

"I didn't mean to come in here and offend you. He's my best friend though and you guys are stringing it along..." I sighed and sat next to him again.

"I just need time to make sure everything is real..."

"I can respect that," He jumped off the road case and dusted himself off," all I know is you must be pretty special to make Josh not come home for Thanksgiving. So if you're thinking about sticking around, I'd like your permission to tell Jenna. She is going to be with us for most of the upcoming legs on the tour and I really don't feel like continuing to hide someone and something that's going to be such a huge part of our lives from my wife." I just chuckled.

"Let's see how this break goes and I'll give you an answer when we all see each other again."
