no one wants the answer
Fear, instilled into the human mind.
Everyone goes about their lives, but in the back of their minds is the thought of whether they will fall victim to a senseless crime. News stories of murder and violence, inhuman acts stick to the mind. We all rather turn off the tv, or change apps in our cell phones and not worry about such atrocities. But they still revolve around us. They make us paranoid.
You never know who's who. You never know who the person you’ve just bumped into walking down the street is thinking. What they’re capable of. Not until you hear the news or check Facebook. And then your immediate thoughts are “how can someone be capable of such horrible acts?” or “why?”.
No one wants the answer though.
You think you know someone, really know them. Not until they reveal who they’re hiding, the other side. Or you stumble upon a scene that you feel as though you’ve entered a horror movie.
And then you realize...
