Soar

1/1

She always said she wanted to fly like a bird, you could see it as her hand flowed with the wind. Stretched out from that window a wide a sense of careless wonder flowed within her core. Her eyes were as bright as diamonds shining under a light. Her hair flowed along her face with ease, her mind was as clear as it’s ever been. She felt like a child again as those rubber tires met the pavement she was traveling back home.
The closer she got to home the more her mind wandered with only a mile to go…

She was set free. Even as metal and glass crumpled from impact there was no pain, only freedom. The freedom to fly above the world and soar. Though her soul was lifted a huge impact remained, for on the side of the road a cross bared her full name. Two dates a life between them represented in a dash summer 1997 to winter 2015.
