Youngblood

Chapter 14

Billie passed out after not long, clinging to Lucy. She didn't sleep a lot for fear that he could be really hurt and need an ambulance. The door opened, and Lucy looked up, briefly making eye contact with Billie's mum.

"Has he been fighting again?" She asked, a hint of anger in her voice as she hit him with a towel.
"No..Mrs-" Billie cut Lucy off before she could defend him
"What the fuck mom I'm in fucking pain – I have fucking glass in my head," he snapped. Lucy bit her lip
"Sorry but er, he wasn't fighting, he dumped his girlfriend and she did this," she jumped in. Ollie hummed and raised an eyebrow, leaving them be. Billie sighed "could you take another look at my head – I think there's still glass in there," he murmured, leaning into Lucy momentarily before she had him sit up properly and looked at his head.

Lucy eventually did have to go home, she hugged Billie tightly
"If you need me, don't hesitate to come round," she murmured. He nodded into her shoulder, holding her tightly for a moment
"Thank you for looking after me," he murmured. Lucy smiled and shrugged, squeezing his arm gently.

Billie slowly made his way back to his room
"Stop being such a pussy, you just got beat up by a girl, fucking man up," Rob sneered. Billie clenched his fists and glared at rob
"Fuck off," he snapped, a little grumpy from the pain and lack of sleep. Rob grabbed his hair
"Listen you little shit, I put this fucking roof over your head, so you are going to start treating me with some respect..twitch," he snapped, smirking as he used Lucy's nickname. Billie shoved him away
"Fuck off, and don't call me that," he answered, going up to his room and starting to pack his things. He'd found a flat that belonged to some guy he gave weed to every so often, so he figured he could crash there until he could afford a real place to live.

Ollie walked into his room after a while
"Billie Joe Armstrong what do you think you're doing?" She yelled, hitting him again with a towel
"Leaving mom, what does it fucking look like," he answered "I can't stand another minute in a place with that pathetic waste of space you married," he added, only earning himself yet another hit with the towel. Rob appeared at his mums shoulder
"You're calling me pathetic, you're the one who just got beat up by a fucking girl," he laughed "and you're also the one who can't have a good time without drugs, I bet your dad would be so proud," he added. Billie was ignoring him until he commented on his dad. He turned and punched him
"Don't fucking talk about my dad," he snapped, grabbing his things and storming out.

After a fairly long, hot walk through Rodeo, Billie reached the place his friend owned. Riley smiled when he saw his old friend
"Billie! Long time dude," he greeted, eyes barely open, joint hanging from his mouth as he held his fist out to Billie. He smiled and touched his own fist to Riley's
"You still got that apartment for me?" He asked. Riley thought for a moment
"Sorry man, my brother is living there at the minute, you can crash here tonight because he's out but he'll need the room back tomorrow," he answered, gesturing for Billie to sit down "can you not stay with Dirnt or that drummer friend of yours?" He asked. Billie hummed
"Nah, I've got another friend who might be able to put me up for a bit though," he murmured, putting his stuff down and smiling thankfully. He immediately went to the payphone down the road, and called Lucy, briefly relaying the situation to her. She didn't hesitate in telling him he could stay with her and and her brother.
"We don't have a spare room but I have a spare mattress I can put on my floor for you," she told him. Billie smiled gratefully
"I can always count on you," he answered.
