It Cannot Get Any Worse

As Cjersti dashed back to the front porch, two Wayne County sheriffs ran up from the road. “What is going on here?” One demanded. Cjersti snapped at them: “Go figure out what is going on behind the house. Watch out, there are lots of people. The guys with guns are the bad guys, the ones with bows and arrows are the good guys.” The sheriffs just stared at her then drew their weapons and ran to the back of the house just as a tall woman carrying a bow dragged a screaming man into the driveway. The man had an arrow sticking out of his leg one in his hand and another in his abdomen. He looked like a porcupine. She hoped he was one of the bad guys. Cjersti heard a helicopter approaching and looked up to see a State Police chopper that appeared to be filled with cops and K9s.
