You Were Meant for Me

Chapter Sixteen: Old Ville, New Ville

We stood outside the club entrance waiting on the car full of ladies to arrive. In true fashion, they were late. Bam was laughing at something Jussi said and I was busy smoking a cigarette. Wynter sent me a text earlier asking me to not to laugh at her when she got here and I was curious as to what she meant. No matter what she looked like, I knew she would still be the most gorgeous one here.

“Fucking hell, man. Where the hell are they? You know what? Next time I’ll tell Missy to be here an hour earlier and then maybe, just fucking maybe, they’ll be on time.” Bam groaned as he looked at his phone for the tenth time. “We’re never going to get in here.”

“Bam Bam, relax.” I chuckled as I put out my cigarette. “They’ll be here. Traffic is a little bad tonight. We’ll be celebrating you soon, my friend.”

As soon as the words left my mouth, a large black SUV came into view and stopped near us. The driver got out and rushed to the back, opening the door. I saw Missy get out followed by Toni then Vedrana. Missy smirked and gave me a wink before I saw a pair of high heels pop out from behind the door. My eyes all but popped out of my skull when Wynter emerged from the car. She quickly adjusted her dress before following the other girls to where we stood. She smiled shyly and I felt my heart explode.

“You look…” I was utterly speechless. “Wow.”

“You clean up nice too, Mr. Valo.” She grinned, taking my hand in hers.

We followed Bam and the rest of the group inside to our VIP section we reserved earlier in the day. The music was loud and the club was pretty packed but my eyes never left Wynter. The dress she picked hugged her body in all the right places and it looked so good on her, but all I wanted to do was take it off and leave it on the floor. I watched as she shouted a few words to Bam over the loud music. I couldn’t hear what she said to him, but whatever it was, he beamed brightly and gave her a thumbs up as he walked away.

Jussi was already drunk when he brought his date for the night to the table. She was a young and blonde Barbie type. I had never seen her around before, but through his slurred words he said her name was Mikaela, and that was a name I recognized. She smiled and greeted everyone and I couldn’t help but notice her eyes lingered on Wynter a little longer than they should have. She then squeezed herself into the booth in between Toni and Wynter and started a conversation with them like they were old friends. I didn’t know what it was, but there was something I didn’t like about her already.

“Isn’t she great, mate?” Jussi laughed as he grabbed my shoulders. “Hey, that rhymed! I’m a poet and I didn’t even know it. Oh, look, there I go again! I can rhyme anytime. Hot damn, I’m on fire. I’m gonna tell Jyrki I’m writing our next album.”

I watched as Mikaela ushered Wynter out of the booth and then pulled her towards the crowded dance floor. Wynter paused just before she was out of sight and blew me a kiss then disappeared with her new friend. I started to get up to go after her, but Toni gave me a look that told me to sit back down.

“Look, Ville, you two aren’t even really dating. You don’t want to hover and become a clinger, do you? Stay here with the guys. Keep them out of trouble and I’ll do the same for her.” She smiled before she went towards the direction Wynter went only seconds before.

“Yeah. Thanks, Tone.” I mumbled even though she was well out of earshot. “Alright, I can do this. Keep the guys out of trouble. Not gonna be a problem.”

Bam was leaned over a trash can right outside of the club emptying the liquid contents of his stomach. Jussi managed to find a nice group of bushes a couple hundred feet away and thankfully, Jyrki and Linde were about as sober as I was. I tried to get Bam and Jussi to slow down on the drinks, but they were obviously determined to get alcohol poisoning. I knew Missy was going to be mad at Bam and there was nothing I could do except try to sober him up a little before they made their way out.

“Wille Walo,” Bam cooed as he stumbled away from the trash can and wiped his mouth on the sleeve of his jacket. “Let’s go back inside. What do you say, Wille Walo?”

“Wille Walo says you got us kicked out, you drunk ass.” I chuckled as his face contorted up in a confused look. “We can’t go back in, so now we wait for the ladies to check their phones.”

“No, no. I can’t be kicked out. I’m Bam fucking Margera and it’s my fucking birthday! You,” He slurred as he pointed towards the door man. “Do you know who I am? You can’t keep me out of here. It’s my birthday and I want to fucking party, dude. If you’re jealous, you can join us!”

“I’m gonna need you to take about three steps back, sir. If you don’t get out of my face, I’ll be forced to remove you from my face and I really don’t want to do that, Mr. Margera. Go back to your buddies over there and then go back to your hotel and sleep it off.”

Surprisingly, Bam listened and sulked back to where we stood.

I sent another text to Wynter and one to Missy hoping one of them would see it soon. Jyrki was trying to herd Bam and Jussi back from the street while I lit a cigarette, trying to calm my beyond shot nerves. Just as I closed my eyes, I heard someone loudly ask what the fuck was going on. My eyes shot open and Missy stood a few feet away with her eyes dead locked on her trashed husband. The door opened behind her and out stumbled Wynter with Toni and Mikaela following suit.

“Oh, there you guys are. Ville, you should probably get her home soon. She’s downed a whole bottle of alcohol. She’ll be feeling it very soon.” Mikaela stated as Wynter took her shoes off. “I should probably get Jussi home too. Do you guys wanna share a cab or…?”

I shook my head no as Wynter told her yes and before I knew it, she was in the backseat with Mikaela and Jussi while I was in the front with the driver. I could hear the girls talking and giggling and I couldn’t help but give Mikaela a glare in the mirror. This girl was quite frankly getting on my nerves. I wanted nothing more than to spend a little time with Wynter, but no matter how much I tried to get her alone, the blonde would pop up like an annoying little blemish that refused to go away.

As we approached the tower, a part of me expected her to get out of the taxi and join us, leaving drunken Jussi to fend for himself. I could have screamed from joy when she stuck her hand out of the window, waving good bye as the car pulled away. By this point, Wynter was stumbling over her own feet and mumbling about how she was so nice and how she couldn’t wait to hang out with her later.

I helped Wynter out of her shoes before she slowly climbed the stairs, stumbling all along the way. As I entered my bedroom, she was standing with her back to me and for the first time, I saw two words tattooed in the middle of her shoulders. Kiss Here. I knew I shouldn’t, but I couldn’t help myself. I closed the distance between us and gently placed my lips on the black ink, causing her to jump slightly. She giggled as she turned and took my face in her hands before bringing my lips up to hers. Even though it had been a little while since she had any alcohol, I could still taste it on her lips and in her kiss.

Before I knew what was happening, she pushed me back on the bed and was struggling to take her dress off. I raised an eyebrow as her black dress finally fell to the floor revealing a pair of black lace panties and a matching bra. My breath hitched in my throat as she climbed on top of me and started kissing my neck. She bit me gently, causing me to let out a soft moan, and I knew I had to stop it before it went any farther.

“Wynter, stop.” I groaned as I tried to pull away. “You’re drunk, I don’t want our first time to be like this.”

“What?” She asked, looking me straight in the eyes. “Yeah, I’m a little drunk, but so what, you’re a rockstar. I’m sure you’ve done this before, right? I want you, you obviously want me. What’s the problem? Are you turning into some kind of sap or something?”

“Oh, thanks. The problem is that you’re not going to remember any of this in the morning. Trust me, the old Ville wouldn’t have given a second thought about this. Hell, he probably would’ve ripped your dress off for you, but that’s not me anymore. I’m not going to take advantage of you or this situation. You’ll thank me, I promise.”

“Well, you know what… Go fuck yourself, Ville. The only thing I’ll thank you for is not using that small dick of yours on me.” She spat venomously as she climbed off the bed, heading for the door. “I’ll sleep in the other room and don’t you dare try to come in there.”

“Yeah, absolutely no worries there. Good night, crazy pants. Sleep it off.”

I listened as she slammed the door shut and within minutes, I could hear the faintest snores. I knew what happened wasn’t really her, it was the alcohol, but it still made me a little cautious. I had been an alcoholic for the longest, I definitely had worse nights and arguments, but it was still something that I didn’t necessarily want to deal with again. A part of me felt bad for judging her, considering it was only one night of intense drinking and she didn’t act this way while sober. I was definitely going to make a mental note of it though. Wynter can be a mean drunk when she doesn’t get her way.

I woke up the next morning to a loud crash followed by a pained groan. As I poked my head out of the door, I could see Wynter on the guest room floor with her knees to her chest and her head resting on top. Her head snapped up as I entered the room and she let out another groan before laying her head back down. I knew she had one hell of a hangover.

“Sorry about your nightstand.” She mumbled softly as I picked her up to carry her to my bedroom. “I kind of forgot it was there.”

“It’s fine, darling girl. Just rest in here for a while, okay? I’ll get you some water and some aspirin. Do you need anything else while I’m up?”

“Maybe a shirt?” She smiled lazily as I tossed her one to cover herself up with. “Thank you, Ville. You’re too sweet to me.”

“After what you said last night, I definitely think so.”

I chuckled to myself as I went down the stairs to retrieve a glass of water and a few painkillers for her. When I finally came back to the bedroom, she had an arm carelessly placed on top of her head, blocking the few rays of light that were streaming in from the window. She rolled over to face me with worry present on her face.

“What did I say last night, Ville?” She asked quietly, almost ashamed.

“Well, if I remember correctly you told me to go fuck myself and something about a small dick because I stopped us from having sex.”

“Oh my god. You’re kidding, right?”

“Afraid not, darling.”

“I’m so sorry.” She said, her voice barely above a whisper. “I didn’t mean it. I was so drunk, so unbelievably drunk. I never drink that much, like ever. Mikaela kept offering me drinks and I know I should have said no, but she’s just so nice and I didn’t want to be mean.”

“Ah, should have known the troll was involved in some way. Also, I’ll be going out with Bam later today, but you are more than welcome to stay here if you’d like.”

“I think I actually made plans with the troll last night.” She chuckled to herself. “I should probably get going though, I could use a shower and a change of clothes. You know, I really should keep some things here.”

“Yeah, you could keep some things in the guest room if you want, darling. You are here quite often. As an added bonus, I wouldn’t run out of clean shirts as fast.”

She stuck her tongue out at me as a joking gesture then rolled out of the bed. She paused in front of the mirror, taking in her appearance. Her hair had mostly fallen out of the elaborate up do she had sported the night before and her make up was smudged in all directions, but she still managed to take my breath away. She caught me staring at her and blushed as I stood up, closing the distance in between us, knowing I wouldn’t see her for the rest of the day.

“Hey,” She whispered against my chest. “Why don’t you come for dinner tonight? I’m sure mummo would love to meet you. My mom too.”

“Oh I don’t- don’t,” I stammered as I tried to think it through. “Parents and grandparents alike normally don’t take to me very well. Tonight is very soon… Could I think about it or maybe pick another night?”

“Yeah, sure, that’s fine. Parents don’t like me much either, but for what it’s worth, I think they’re all going to love you. We aren’t a normal family.”

It wasn’t that I was worried her family wouldn’t like me, that didn’t matter to me. Meeting her family meant she would want to meet mine and that would make things somewhat official. I never made a habit of taking girls around to family gatherings, but that was the old me and this was the new me… and the new me wanted Wynter.

“Alright, what time is dinner?”

Her eyes beamed with joy and happiness as she realized I had agreed to come to dinner with her family and I knew it was the right thing. Her smile made every ounce of doubt fade away and suddenly, I had the urge to call my parents and set up our own family dinner. Unfortunately, it would have to wait until Bam no longer had plans for us and there was no way to know when that would be.
