There are times when he looks back at the life he has lived so far, and it gives him pause. Times when he considers his own existence and becomes aware of the extensive ties he has put out into the world. The people that he has attracted and the dependant effect he has had on them, whether he means it or not.

It is at these times that he looks inward and realizes this singular fact:

These dependencies were created from his own lonely, lost soul seeking something he cannot find, burning through the minds and hearts of others to acquire the means to reach ends he can never touch.

And each time this moment of reflection reaches its lapse, he is gone, as quietly and mysteriously as he came, leaving behind a gaping hole of need.

Indeed, he leaves. He always leaves.

But his memory lingers.
