The Rainy Day Fund

IV. Bucklesburg

It's not that the one night stand didn't mean anything, but it happens. He was mine for one night, and like all fond memories, it'd be one to cherish

Lying next to each other as we caught out breath, he turned to me and instead of whispering any delusions about what just happened, he opened up and shared his love for life with me. "It's an adventure of it's own, you've got no choice but to flow with it and let it move you. If you respect it enough that it becomes pleasant, at the end of the day you're only human, so if you make a mistake or do something embarrassing, it doesn't matter. Life is wonderful when you really start to live it."

That was three months ago, and now I find myself here in the small town of Bucklesburg, and each evening I come out down to the cafe, sit and watch my fellow diners as they tuck away the carefully prepared dishes sent from the kitchen at their request.
