At age 18, every new adult in the world receives a little red envelope. No one knows why, no one knows where it comes from. Some major governments of the world claimed they were behind it, but everyone knows it's not true.
In the little envelope is a name that belongs to a person you're meant to spend the rest of your life with. Your soulmate, as some people would say, or irreplaceable friends according to others. It can take a lifetime to find this person, but some have luck on their side.
Unfortunately for some, there's no way to escape the system.
