Three months later
The day was sunny as everyone gathered around the polished oak casket. People who knew Dennis Hopman stood in suites, their heads bowed as the minister read the lord prayer before the casket was lowered to its final resting place.
This was all funny in Dennis’s and Amanda’s eyes, as they stood off to the side and watched all the people sob quietly. They even laughed, but no one heard them. After the servos was over everyone left, leaving the two to stair at their headstones, both side by side.
“You know, I didn’t think I would see my own funeral. Let’s get out of here.” Dennis said grabbing Amanda’s hand.
She smiled and nodded before she led him away, both fading in the suns light.
