In Kanto, once a child graduates from high school, they are permitted to go on a journey to discover new Pokémon, challenge Gym Leaders, and make a name for themselves in the hope that they will learn more about themselves and the world around them. For all her life, this had been Charlotte (Charley) Tsuki's dream - to undertake the challenge with a Charmander as her starter Pokémon. However, she is quickly uprooted and transported to Alola, where she begins a new challenge unlike any other and is swallowed up into a mystery like the world has never seen. Across every region, legendary Pokémon are disappearing, Trainers are turning up dead, and there are rumors that Team Rocket is emerging from the surface. And she has drawn the attention of Tapu Koko and Steven Stone, a surreptitious trainer and former Hoenn region Champion who has many secrets of his own.
