"What do you know?" Reese asked, leaning against the wall.

Ryan glanced at Hayden, who was still behind the desk. He swallowed nervously and answered, "I can't tell you, I'm sorry."

"It's important," Hayden said.

"He doesn't want me to say anything," Ryan said quietly. "He said he'll kill me if I do."

"He?" Reese's voice rose. "Is his name Mason Boswell?"

Ryan looked away. "He's going to hurt me."

"He won't know that you told us," Reese said calmly. "He doesn't even know we're looking for him. You'll be safe, I promise."
