The Strange Case of Mr Hyde and His Assistant

I got to the building and knew right where the stairs were. When I went down I saw a lady behind a half circle desk
“Are visitations open?”I asked looking at her. She smiled up at me
“Yes miss. Who is it you’re going to see?”She asked.
“Hyde”I said making her look up nervously
“Why?”She asked making me laugh.
“I’m his assistant”I said and she slowly nodded before standing up. She led me to the back and swiped the card but just as she was about to open it her and I jumped back, the door swung open
“What the hell?”I said seeing Hyde coming out of the door with
“Regina?”I said with a raised brow
“Don’t insult me. I’m Regina’s better half, and your new replacement. The Evil Queen”She said smirking evilly. I slowly looked over to Hyde with raised brows and a slightly open mouth.
“Really now? Thought you weren’t all that big of a fan of magic”I said coldly to Hyde crossing my arms...he almost looked...guilty
“I never said you were her replacement your highness...but you did leave, did you not Jessica?”Hyde spat back. My heart couldn’t take much more of this
“I see….shame I wasted my time coming back here to ask for my job back. How foolish of me to presume so. I won’t get in your way then. Goodbye”I said bitterly and turned on my heel before he could see any tears
“Jessica wait I still-”
“Let her go. I’m sure she has more crying to do”The Evil Queen said laughing. I bit my lip and before she stopped laughing I threw a dagger right at her hitting her in the shoulder. She yelled
“My dress!”She said then glared at me. I couldn’t help but notice Hyde’s smirk as he watched The Evil Queen pull the dagger out glaring at me with hatred.
“Yes I suppose I should of warned you of the temper Jessica has. She can be quite deadly if need be...remember our deal milady”Hyde said still smirking
“Seems a little unfair if she’s laying a finger let alone a dagger on me!”The Evil Queen yelled at Hyde angrily. I raised a brow
~He made a deal with her that she wouldn’t hurt me?~I thought confused
“Yes, what you’re thinking is correct. I’m forbidden from hurting you or the bookworm. So I suggest you thank your xboss”The Evil Queen said smirking. I glared at Hyde.
“This is disturbing...truly. Well you have her now, so you won’t be needing me”I said and quickly left before the queen did something else. I rushed out of the doors wiping my eyes. That bastard!
“I want to forget about him..completely”I said sadly. I went home that night and went to sleep without a word...I just didn’t feel like talking...my heart was too heavy…
I was crying in my room until I decided I needed to sing...
"Maybe some vocals will get me out of my head"I said sniffling.
I heard a knock at my door
"Yes?"I asked wiping my face quickly
"Hey...so I couldn't help but-"
"Eavesdropping again?"I asked in annoyance looking up at my big brother. He smiled scratchin his head
"A little but I actually have something to show you"Jeff said taking my hand and forcing me up.
"Ugh what"I said as he opened a back door to the house that I didn't ever notice before
"How come I never knew this door was here?"I asked with a raised brow
"I was hiding it with magic of course but I think I showed you this because I've never seen you happier unless-"
He opened the door with a key and turned on a light
"Unless you're playing music"He said smiling down at me. I gasped seeing a piano, and an acoustic guitar.
"Oh this is so perfect thank you Jeff!"I said hugging him quickly then racing to the piano. I started messing around just to warm up
"Can I hear a song?"Jeff asked sitting down.
"Of course..but I'm choosing...I have to get this out..."I said making he chuckle
"I've always loved your songs"He said as he poured us both a glass of bourbon. I smiled taking a sip and cracking my knuckles as I began to play on the piano.
"Im just gonna be making it up as I go along"I said
"Shut up and play"He said laughing. I laughed as I began to sing.

"You just came up with that?"He asked amazed. I laughed

"No, that was enough for me tonight. I feel much better"I said smiling as we walked out of the room. He closed it back up with magic
"Why hide this room?"I asked curious
"It's just so Gracie doesn't play in there. Maybe when she's 13 I'll believe she won't go in there and accidentally detroy things"He said making me giggle
"Oky well I'm going to bed now"I said and we hugged and I went to my room.
