The Strange Case of Mr Hyde and His Assistant

(later maybe a couple hours)
I was laying on the bed that was formally Killian’s throwing a ball up in the air and catching it. Belle was looking through books while Killian was watching Belle move around.
“You sure I can’t get you girls anything?”Killian asked. We both looked up at him.
“We can always crack open a barrel of rum if you thought it’d help”Killian said with a big smile. I laughed
“No alcohol for me for a while regardless how crappy I feel right now”I said sitting up in the bed smiling. I was feeling better but I was still worried about how Hyde would take it of me not showing up...it was still pretty early in the afternoon, last time I checked it was 12:30 and I’ve been here for about 3 hours now...so it should be around 3:30...6 hours to figure this out...
“Well there is one thing you can do for me Killian”I said
“What’s that?”He asked looking at me
“I know you hate him….but please...If I can’t get off this ship in 8 and a half hours, please, Hyde was supposed to meet me at Granny’s at 9 tonight.. All you have to do is tell him what happened….”I said sadly
“Aye...just because you’re a nice girl...I’ll tell him.”He said smiling.
“Thanks Killian”I said feeling much better
“Oh that reminds me Jess. Earlier today, I found these growing in the woods. I had Killian pick up what you call...joints?”Belle said. My eyes widened and I gasped
“Get out! You found me cannabis?!”I asked excitedly
“What do you need that for?”Killian asked
“I have high anxiety and high risk for heart attack with all the nerves that I have..I'm really jumpy around certain people and whenever I was feeling sick from injections I’ve smoked these and felt better. I’ll be sure to smoke these in the crows nest though so I don’t harm the baby” I said smiling
“Thank you for that. You’re so thoughtful”She said smiling back.
“Are you kidding?!You’re the thoughtful one!”I said happily as I stood up to put the box of nugs under my bed happily
“I have to start working on how to cut the ties between Hyde and Jekyll before it’s too late, Belle..I just..don’t know where to start”I said biting my lip
“Hold on..I gathered these a long time ago let me just see if I can find them”Killian started looking around in his chests for something. Belle and I raised our eyebrow in confusion.
“What are you-”
“Ah!”He pulled out a pair of golden scissors
(I know how the scissors came to be but this is a fanfic so I’m changing it just slightly)
“Could these possibly help?I won these in a card game long ago”Killian asked holing them up.
“What are those?”I asked with wide eyes as my fingers gently ran across the golden pair.
“They cut the ties of fate...maybe they could cut Hyde’s fate from Jekyll’s”Killian said. I smiled and jumped up and down with excitement. I hugged Killian and then kissed his cheek. He was surprised but Belle and Killian just laughed at how happy I was.
“Oh Killian!!Thank you!Thank you so much!We can get our happy ending with this!I can just see it now...Hyde and I..in our own house..maybe if I ask nicely Emma or Regina will whip up our own little mini mansion...with a library...and a fireplace...a balcony”I was starting to daydream and Belle laughed
“That sounds very nice..I’m so glad you and Hyde can be happy without the worry of him dying.. I’m happy he’s willing to change for you”Belle said and I got up and hugged her
“I still have faith in Rumple, Belle...it’s just a really really long progress..and it’s okay if you don’t want to wait around”I said smiling. She hugged me
“Thank you” she said but I jumped hearing a voice
“Hello!I-is anyone down here?”I heard Jekyll. My heartbeat quickened and I began to pant
“Jess are you-” I ran to the closet and looked back before getting in.
“Do NOT tell him I’m here!I’m so serious!If I have to come out I will but don't tell him I'm here”I whispered and quickly went in the closet before they could ask.
“Oh, you are. Thank goodness you’re here”Jekyll said
“And the question is why are you here? Shouldn’t you be off in the lab completing your serum?” Killian asked suspiciously. I had my head against the door listening.
“Oh that’s just it, I did. And then Hyde found me and destroyed the lab”Jekyll said I rolled my eyes. Liar.
“But what happened to the serum”Belle asked
“The Dark One took it”Jekyll said. My eyes widened at that.
“Apparently he has some arrangement with the evil queen."Jekyll said
“Emma’s looking for the Evil Queen. And Killian...if you should run into Hyde at all….make sure you...get him”Belle wiggled her eyebrows at Killian hoping he would understand. He nodded understanding
“Of course I’ll get him. He won’t stop me”Killian said winking at her knowingly, unbeknownst to Jekyll.
“Go. Go. Emma needs you. We’ll be alright.We’ve got Rumple’s spell to protect us”Belle said.
“Thank you Belle”Killian said and ran off. I sat on the floor quietly just listening to what was going on..I couldn’t leave Belle there alone with him..no matter how much I feared him..I hated him more and I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if he did something to her...I cursed in my head and bit my lip mustering all the courage I could and snuck out the closet and crept over to the door and pretended to walk in.
“Hey Belle-Jekyll..what...are you doing here”I asked pretending to just get here
“Well...y-your boss f-found me and destroyed e-everything…”Jekyll said angrily as he pushed up his glasses. I slowly made my way over to Belle, never dropping eye contact with him. I slowly sat next to Belle glaring at Jekyll.
“Maybe if you weren’t such a-”
“Tea anyone?”Belle interrupted with a smile.
“Yes, thank you..so you’re Belle..the uh...Dark One’s wife?”Jekyll said quickly changing the subject. Belle smiled leaning on the chair
“Im uh, sorry if he’s caused you any harm”Belle said awkwardly
“I appreciate the sentiment. The sentiment won’t bring back Mary…”Jekyll said sadly. My hand twisted into a fist...he wanted her to give him pity….she didn’t even love him...she loved Hyde…
“Mary?Is she someone you loved?”Belle asked confused. I rolled my eyes. She was playing right into his hand.
“With all my heart...until Hyde destroyed that love…”Jekyll said making my eyes widen
“You dirty liar!”I yelled slamming my fists on the table at Jekyll, making him jump.
“Jessica”Belle said with wide eyes
“No! That’s not what happened at all!Mary was in love with Hyde for how brave and straight forward he was...Mary was just trying to be a good friend to Jekyll...and of course when he couldn’t handle that that was all she wanted..he went over the edge...you see Belle, the difference between Jekyll and Hyde is Hyde’s not afraid to take action when need be...he’s not a coward...like you… Mary fell in love with his power and roughness...and still he had a soft..gentle side..one you would only see if you got the luck of getting close to him..” I looked down sadly then looked up angrily at Jekyll, who was burning holes in my face with his eyes… but this was a long time coming from me
“You’re just a weakling and a coward and Mary could never fall in love with someone who had less of a backbone then she did”I said bitterly
Jekyll slammed his hand on the table
“I loved her first!It was me who showed her kindness!She came to see me everyday!”Jekyll said on the verge of tears
“And she didn’t want you! It was your work that scared her off!Maybe if you were more demanding to her and you stood up for yourself more and her father she would of loved you!”I spat back
“Enough!My baby doesn’t need to hear yelling...”Belle said looking at the two of us
“Sorry Belle” Jekyll said looking down
“Yeah, sorry”I said looking at her sadly as I gently touched her tummy. I felt a spark and gasped
“What’s wrong?”Belle asked worried. I looked up at her and smiled
“Nothing, he’s just saying hello.Just showing me he’s there” I said smiling at her. Belle smiled laughing a bit, the both of us for just a moment, forgetting Jekyll was there.
“He..he let you know he was there?”Belle asked gently touching her lips in happiness. I laughed
“Unless something else gave my hand a tingle the second I touched it”I said giggling. She giggled as well
“Jess you have to help me plan my baby shower”Belle said as she turned on the stove for the tea.
“I’d love to!We can do a pirate theme!Oh the cake can be a cute little pirate ship!”I said clapping my hands. Jekyll just sat there, awkwardly, eyes shifting from Belle to me, back to Belle as we were talking.
“Woman”He mumbled putting his head in his hand.
