The next night, I met Jake at Crader's pond.
He sat by the pond, throwing rocks in it as I approached him.

"How long have you been waiting here?" I asked him as I gently took a seat next to him.
"Long enough." He smiled as he turned to me.
"How are you?" He asked.
"Good." I shrugged.

Would I really tell him how I actually felt?

"What about yourself?" I asked, before it got awkward.
"I've had better days." His honesty blurted out.

Despite how long he's known me.

"My mom left today." He spoke again as my curiosity got the best of me.
"If you don't mind me asking, why?"
"She was fed up with my dad. Probably fed up with me too. She's a drug addict." He murmured quietly.
"I'm sorry to hear that." I told him as I put my hand on his shoulder.

I truely meant that too.
No one should have to suffer for someone else's mistakes.

"It's okay." He noted as I took my hand off his shoulder.
"I'm here to listen, if your willing to talk." I told him as he looked hopelessly hopeful.

And talk he did.
He told me all about his mother, and her addiction.
About how his father cut his mother off from her drugs.
And through it all, how he felt.
At some parts, he looked as if he was going to cry, but he managed.
That night, I found out about reality.
I was in a bubble for the longest of times, since Hayless has been gone.
With listening to him, I finally understood another person's life, and point of view other then Haylee's or mine.
Reality, just smacked me in the face, and told me to wake the fuck up.

I know it's been a long time since an update.
I've actually gotten around to writing in my journal.
I know exactly what I want to do with this story.
I just have to write it all out.
It should be done by the end of this year.
That's what i'm shooting for.
Look out for at least one to two updates a month.
If not more.
(:
Comments would be nice.
They make me write faster.
