Chapter 8
We found a table in the back corner and just sat down and talked while whispers were coming from all around. Suddenly Sharpay walked up
“What are you doing with her Ryan?” Sharpay asked eyeing me hatefully. I smirked looking at Ryan. The ultimate test
“Eating lunch with my girlfriend. Is that a problem sis?” Ryan asked politely smiling up at her
“G-g-GIRLFRIEND?!” She screamed and ACTUALLY fainted but before her head hit the floor I jumped up and caught her. Everyone was shocked I guess seeing as how she was being kind of rude to me
“Ryan is she gonna be okay?” I asked gently setting her down on the floor
“She’ll be fine. You’d be surprised at how many faint stories I have even when we were kids..but that was mostly because she held her breath thinking she’d get her way...”Ryan said helping me sit her at the table and put her head down on the table
“I don’t know about you but I’m finishing my lunch before I take her to the nurse. I’m hungry and I know you are too” Ryan said smiling at me.
“You sure she’ll be okay?” I asked
“She does this all the time. Trust me she’ll be fine” Ryan said and I shrugged as we continued to eat while Sharpay just looked like she was taking a nap with her head in her arms until she finally came to
“Oh I had this horrible nightmare Ryan you said you were dating-“
She looked up and saw me
“Boo” I said smirking at her. She gasped and quickly stood up
“Ryan I forbid this!Dump her!” Sharpay ordered. Ryan looked at her crazy
“No?Come on Jess we’ll be late for class” Ryan said eyeing his sister
“Ryan if you date her they’ll choose her or Gabriella for the parts!”Sharpay said
“Oh come on. Ms Darbus loves you so you never know she may play it safe and just choose us as usual. Cya later sis” Ryan said smiling and walked off.
So over the next two weeks Ryan would spend free period rehearsing with Sharpay and then after school he’d come over my house around 4 and we’d go to the tree house to practice the songs together and of course have some time for kissing, laughing and holding hands.. he has made me the happiest I’ve been in a really long time....
(Next day in school) I was at my locker when a girl walked up to me
“Hey are you Jessica Montez?” She asked.
She was my height, she dressed in a shin tight black shirt with fishnet sleeves, baggy black pants with pockets, and chuck taylors, her hair was black with strands of blue in them and she had snake bites. She had bracelets on each wrist, jelly bracelets, and a few different necklaces on and one choker
“Uhhh yes? How can I help you?” I asked
“My name is Lidia. Can you come to the art room with me? I want you to meet our art club” she said smiling at me.
“Uhh sure” I said smiling as I followed her
“So as you know the art show is coming soon, so we were wondering if you drew anything?” She asked as she stood with a group of others.
“Um well mr Kramer said it could be photographed as well so I was thinking of doing a photo this time but I’m not all that focused I’ve been rehearsing with Ryan and-” the girl held up her hand for me to stop.
“Ryan Evans? Like Sharpays twin Ryan?” She asked with her arms crossed
“Yes? He’s my boyfriend. Why?” I asked suspiciously.
She rolled her eyes
“He’s using you for his sister. You should break up with him soon before you get hurt” she said making me clench my first
“He’s sweet to me..and he sticks up for me when his sister is being a jerk”I said tilting my head to the side
“I didn’t want to do this but..”
She pulled out her phone and showed me a video
“Ryan you’re going to break her heart and tell her you’re not doing the show with her! I’m your sister and she’s just some stupid girl!” Sharpay yelled on the stage thinking her and Ryan were alone
“Okay..I- I know she’s just some girl... I’ll dump her she didn’t mean anything to me anyways..come on you know I only asked her as a joke..you’re my number 1” Ryan said hugging his sister. My heart sank and I stood up
“So the deadline is-“
“I have to go” I said and sped out the room. I went to the roof of the school and sat down seeing I was alone and cried.
