The Safety of Death

Bernice Creeyard has seen countless friends murdered by townspeople for accusations of witchery. Whether she believes it is besides the point - they should never have died. When a doctor tells Bernice she has only hours left to live, she takes full advantage of her prognosis. Although she has never been one to keep her mouth shut, she decides she will say what she wants to say, do what she wants to do, avenge her friends, and leave the land of the living before it all catches up to her.
