Then the bell rung... Everyone left for classes, except me.
I headed to the front door, I never wanted to be in this place again.
I never wanted to face Chris again, I can't figure out why he did it.
I didn't go back to the orphanage, I sat on a bench in a park near my “home”.
-I saw you bolt out of school, are you okay? - I heard Lottie's voice, Lottie was in the foster home too, I adored her
-So, you weren't around at lunch time? - I asked her
-No, I was at the doctors, I wasn't even at school, I just saw you ran off and followed you. - The brunette said
-I hope you get better soon. I'm sorry, I love you, Lottie. But I can't tell you what happened, I rather write it in my diary, if this okay... - I sighed heavily
-It's okay, I understand. - She smiled at me
-I knew you will. - I smiled back at her weakly
-So, what do you want to do, Frankie? - She asked, with a kind look on her face
-Can we grab something to eat? I couldn't eat lunch. - She nodded and smiled again, showing her braces
Lottie was made fun of most often by the popular girls, because she had braces and glasses.
-Where do you want to go? - She questioned
-I know that totally chill vegan restaurant, not so far from here. - I suggested
-Okay, we can go there!- She smiled, she was like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day, she smiled a lot
She was exactly the kind of person I needed right now.
We walked to the restaurant, she chose a table by the window.
She sat down and let me order for her too.
I ordered some vegan burgers with fries.
-These are so good, I never tried them before! - She said with her mouth full
-Gross! - I laughed
-Sorry! - She giggled
I would go for Lottie, if I could love a girl that way.
We finished our meal. I paid for it and we went back to the orphanage.
