"Wimbledon star lost her grand slam moment in car accident"
Kristin Baker has won three Wimbledons' in her short-lived career and was on her way of being the next Serena Williams. On the evening of July 8th 2018, Baker (27) and her boyfriend, ice hockey star Tyler Seguin (27) were involved in a tragic car accident after Seguin swerved out to avoid another car. Seguin suffered from minor injuries, while Baker lost her ability to walk. The other person, a drunk driver who drove in the wrong lane, got out of the crash scot-free, but will be charged with reckless driving; drunk-driving and attempted murder.
"Have you seen the newspaper article?" Alicia asks and Kris sighs, she rolls her wheelchair to where her best friend sits and shrugs her shoulders
"It's true"
Alicia frowns, "But it's personal and they tell the world without asking permission"
Kristin smirks bitterly, "Tyler walked out on me after the surgery and announced it to the world, so why can' they?"
"You're awake" Alicia whispers with tears in her eyes, the liquid streaming down her cheeks as Kristin's blue eyes flutter open. The blonde groans and swallows, she whispers 'water' and Alicia lets her take a sip
"W-where am I?"
"You're in the hospital, you were in a car accident"
"W-where's Tyler?"
Alicia frowns, her face turns bitter, "He left honey, he uh, he left"
"Yeah" She whispers, "Hospitals have never been his thing"
