Into the Lion's Den

Duke Silas Oliver wanted nothing more than to go home. All this travel sure made him thirsty, and drink he did. Riding home from visiting the King, with his bodyguard on one arm, and his lady on the other, he had planned on the ride back home being quick. But the horses couldn't make it through the snows, and the cold was seeping into his bones, so Silas Oliver and his party stopped at Maddock's Mark; a towering castle looking over a bluff down onto a town below, home of the Lord Baron Lafe Maddock and his court of lords and ladies.

Just a night, Silas insisted to be back on the road within a day. But the Lord Baron has other plans for his newfound guests, and the towering keep of Maddock's Mark holds many secrets.
