In the beauty of the Shenandoah Mountains, a 21st century woman is to find the beasts of no such greater creation than man and the histories they've created. Launched back in time within the very throes of the Civil War, she is left to live and align herself within a family whose name flashes within the history books; The Kidds. Known for their tragic end more so than their life, this group of slaves-turned-spies-turned-martyrs takes in a weary, road-stained traveler who knows what they are and what they will become long after they are no more.
