Hospital

1/1

I heard a beeping sound and felt how heavy my head was.
As I tried to get up, I noticed my body wasn't
corresponding the way I would like it to and I got
frustrated after a while.

I heard some faint voices, felt a hand in mine and
I squeezed as hard as I could but I only felt my fingers
move slightly before I dozed off again.

The next time I felt slightly awake, I heard two people
talking. One female and one male. I tried to listen but
I couldn't understand what they were saying. I picked
up some of the words but surely they weren't talking
about me. I was fine. Wasn't I?

I tried to move again but found myself failing once more.
There was a slight increase in the beeping but other than
that, I still couldn't move like I wanted to. I gave up, feeling
tired and fell into another peaceful slumber.

---

I woke up slowly, my eyes blinking because of the sudden
light. I heard the beeping louder this time and I could feel
my fingers move. I tried to make a fist and I could. I tried to
wet my lips with my tongue but it was dry and my throat
was a little sore. As I looked around the room, I saw I was
in a hospital room. The white walls and ceiling gave it away
without a second thought.

I explored the room with my eyes and I stopped when I saw
a male in the chair, close to the window. He was slumped down
in what seemed like an uncomfortable position and his eyes
were closed. His breaths came out even and they were deep
so I figured he was sleeping. But why here?

I had absolutely no idea who he was and he didn't look familiar
to me, at all.

I decided to look at my body, feeling stiff and sore all
over. My head hurt a bit and I couldn't open one eye all
the way. When I looked at my legs I saw that one of them
was in some sort of device completely made of metal.

My eyes widened and that's when I also noticed my arm
in a cast. What happened, I did not know. I tried to rack
my brain for any memory but the first thing that came
to mind was that I'd been in a car.

I tried to clear my throat but that hurt and I looked around
for something to drink. Not finding anything, I looked around
for a button or something for a nurse to come in but I couldn't
locate one. I sighed in frustration and then figured I had no choice
but to wake the man up.

"Excuse me?"
I tried but my voice came out raspy and soft.

I swallowed and tried again.
"Excuse me?!"

This time it was a little louder but that didn't do anything,
either.

"Hey!"
I said as loud as I could and the man stirred a bit.
"Hey!"

The man's eyes slowly opened and took in his surroundings.
He looked at me and then closed his eyes again.

"Hello?!"
I said and then his eyes flew open.

"You're awake!"
he said and jumped out of his seat.
"Holy shit, you're awake!"

"Water."
I just said and pointed at my throat.

"Yeah of course. I have to call a nurse too. I can't
believe you're actually awake."
he replied and grabbed me the water I so desperately
longed for.

He handed it to me and with my good hand I drank almost
the entire contents of the cup.

"That feels so good. Can I have some more?"
I asked, my throat already feeling better.

"Yeah, of course."
he said and then pressed a button.
"Nurse can come in any minute."

I nodded and watched him fill up the cup again.
"I don't want to sound rude but who are you?"

"Oh, right. I'm Min Yoongi."
he said with a small smile and handed me the
cup for a second time.

"And why am I here?"
I asked and looked at my leg.
"And what in the name of all that is holy, is that?"

He looked at my leg.
"It's a Ilizarov aparatus. You've broken your tibia and your
fibula and I don't know the doctor's way of telling you how
it works but it pretty much helps your bones grow together
again without needing any further operations. I think."

I raised one eyebrow and he answered the unspoken
question I had.

"I googled it."

I wanted to ask him more but the nurse came in and she saw
I was awake.

"Miss Jung!"
she said and looked glad I was awake.
"How are you feeling?"

"Like I got run over by a truck but other than that,
I'm fine."
I said and she nodded.

"I'll get the doctor in here to tell you about your injuries.
Is there anything else you'd like? Something to drink?"
the nurse asked and I nodded.

"Some tea would be nice."
I replied and she nodded.

"I'm going to check all your vitals and do some routine
checks on you first, is that okay?"
she asked and I nodded this time so she went to work.

"Well, that's all for now. I'll get you something to drink
now and make sure the doctor will visit you as soon as
possible, okay? If you need anything in the meantime,
just give us a call and we'll come for you. Are you comfortable?"
she asked with a friendly face.

"As comfortable as I can be in this condition."
I replied.

"I understand it's not at all comfortable with all the metal
on your legs but the doctor wil explain everything to you
and hopefully he can answer all the questions you have.
I'll go get you that drink now."
she squeezed my shoulder before she made her way out.

When she was gone I focused my attention on Yoongi
again.

"So.. Do you know what happened?"
he asked and I shook my head.

"Absolutely no clue."

"Well.. You were in a car accident. A truck hit you from the passenger
side and your car was pressed against a tree. That caused the injuries
to your leg and arm. The eye is probably from the steering wheel
but I'm not sure."
he replied as he stood next to me.

"And why are you here?"
I asked.

"I saw it happen. I was the first to arrive and I called the ambulance.
You asked me to stay with you and I did."
he said with a small blush.
"Although I'm pretty sure you meant while you were in the
car and I probably overstayed my welcome. Some of the staff here
know me by name."

"How long have I been here?"
I wanted to know.

"A week. They kept you asleep because your head was
pretty banged up and they were afraid of any internal
bleeding and your body really needed the rest."

"I've been here for a week?!"
I asked, incredulously.

"Yeah, it's been a week. The bruises are fading already.
Your eye is looking so much better than it did. I think that
you'll be fine when it comes to that and your arm."
he said as he pointed at my arm.
"That wasn't a complicated break. Your leg is a different
story but the doctor can tell you better than I can."

I tried to take it all in but it didn't really sink in yet.
At least I knew why I was in the hospital now.

"Did the doctor say anything about how long I have
to stay here?"

Yoongi shook his head.
"Since I'm not family I am pretty much kept in the dark.
They'll only answer things not directly related to you so
I have no idea. I wish I could tell you more."

"What about my parents? Have they been here?"
I ask then, realizing that I was with a stranger and not
my family.

"Oh, yeah. They'll be in shortly, too. They went home
to put on some clean clothes and take a shower. I'm pretty
sure the nurse has called them now you're awake."
Yoongi replied as he walked over to the chair.

"I should probably go. Your parents will be here soon and
they'll want to talk to you alone."

I nodded and saw him grab his leather jacket.

"Would it be okay if I came by a little later today? I'd
like to see how you're doing."
he said with a small smile.

"If you want to, yeah. I guess you kind of saved my life,
maybe. And you stayed with me when you didn't know me
at all so thank you."

"You don't have to thank me. And I didn't save your life,
I just stayed with you until the ambulance came. I'm pretty
sure I could've done more."
he replied as he shuffled his feet.

"I do have to thank you. Staying with me might have
made all the difference. Maybe I'll remember someday
and I can properly thank you for it."

"Honestly, you don't have to. It was the right thing to do."
I saw a small blush on his cheeks now and I smiled at him.

"That doesn't mean it was the easy thing to do. I'd
like to see you again. You should definitely come by
this afternoon."
I said feeling a little bold.
"I want to know about the accident and you seem to
be the person who knows. I'd like to hear it if you're
up for it?"

He nodded.
"Sure. I'll come by this afternoon. Bye, Haneul."

"Bye."
I responded as he walked away.

---

Two weeks flew by, the doctor was a little hesitant to let
me go because of my injuries. I could walk around with the
entrapment around my leg but because my arm was also in
a cast, he wanted to make sure I could really walk around without
trouble. Also, I had a small fever and I had to be fever-free for
48 hours if I wanted to go home.

Yoongi had come by everyday, as did my parents.
My best friend Byeol had also visited me a couple
of times but between their visits, I was watching tv
or reading, not being able to do anything else.

I was mindlessly staring out of the window, looking at the
sky. The sun was about to set and the colors in the sky
were beautiful.

There was a knock on the door and then it opened,
revealing Yoongi.

I smiled.
"Hey."

"Hey. How've you been?"
he asked with a small smile as he pulled off his coat.

"Well, I've been dancing the waltz and I am getting quite
good at it. I've also been practicing my guitar skills but I can't
quite bend my fingers far enough but I'm sure I sound great."
I said and Yoongi chuckled.
"Your day was probably more exciting than mine."

He shrugged.
"I didn't have much to do apart from work."

"How's the song coming along?"
I asked, knowing by now that he was a producer.

"Slow. It's driving me nuts."
he responded with a small sigh.
"But I've had it happen before. It'll be fine eventually.
Or I'll start over, whatever."

"I'm sure you can figure it out. You're smart like
that."
I gave him a reassuring smile and he gave me a small
smile back.

"You have too much faith in me."

"I doubt that. If you can stay calm when finding someone
half unconscious in a car wreck, you can figure out what to
do with a song. You'll find the best way, for you."
I shrugged.

"Your memory still hasn't returned yet?"
he asked and sat down in a chair next to my hospital
bed.

"Nope."
I said, popping the 'p'.
"Doctor said that I probably never will when it comes to
the accident. Sometimes your brain just shuts down because
there's too much trauma or something. So I could go into
therapy and maybe get it back but I don't know if I should.
You've told me all I need to know so what's there to get out of
it? I doubt it'll do me much good."

"Well, that sounds like the smart thing to do. Did they already
say anything about getting out of here?"
Yoongi wanted to know as he looked at my leg still completely
surrounded by metal.

"When my fever's down, I hope I can get out of here. I'll
need to live at my parents house for a while though.
I can't do much. I can walk around but I can't shower
myself because of my stupid arm."
I mumbled and I allowed my head to fall back.
"I'm so, so bored."

"It must be dull to just be here all day."
he nodded.
"Maybe we can do something?"

"Like what?."

Yoongi seemed to think about it and then a small smirk
showed on his lips and I frowned.
"What are you up to?"

"Nothing much."
he replied as he stood up.

"Yoongi.."
I said and saw him walk out the room.

"Give me a sec!"
I heard him say and I shook my head.

What the hell was he up to?

After ten minutes of his absence, I started to get a little
annoyed. I was about to press the button for a nurse
when he walked in with a smug smile.

"Are you ready for a movie night?"
he asked and looked at me, proudly.

"How?"

"I have a projector at home and I've talked to the nurses.
They're okay if I bring it in, including snacks and drinks."
he said as he grabbed his coat.
"I'll be back in about an hour."

"But visiting hours-"

"I've taken care of that, too."
he said as he grabbed my hand and brushed his lips
against my knuckles.
"Don't walk off on me. This is, in every meaning of the
word, our first date."

"It is?"
I asked, feeling my cheeks flush a bit.

"Of course. Movies and snacks? It's definitely a date."
he replied as he walked backwards to the door.

"But that's hardly fair. If I don't want a date I can't really
do anything about it because I literally can't move anywhere."
I replied and he gasped in fake shock.

"Are you saying you don't want to go on a date with me?
That hurts my feelings, deeply."

I rolled my eyes.
"Stop being so dramatic."

"So, date?"
he asked as leaned against the doorpost, waiting for my
answer.

I sighed and then couldn't help but chuckle at his
excited face.
"Yeah, yeah. Fine. Call it a date if you must."

"I must. See you in an hour!"
he replied before he made his exit.

I wondered why he was going through all the trouble
and decided to ask him someday. I didn't want to ask him
just yet because I quite liked his company and I'd grown
very fond of him in a week's time. He kept coming to the
hospital every day but why, I didn't know. Maybe he felt
obligated but I hoped that it was because he'd grown fond
of me, too.

When he arrvived back at the hospital in an hour, he was
helped by a male nurse to get everything to my room and
to set everthing up.
The white wall was perfect for the projector to shine it's
light on and when everything was plugged in, he held
up a few movies.

"I didn't know what you liked so I brought a few you can pick
from."

"The Avengers."
I immediately said and his eyes lit up.

"You like those?"
he asked as he did what he had to do so we could watch
the movie.

"I've seen them all multiple times, I love the movies."
I replied with a nod and he nodded approvingly at me.

"Nice. You're getting more awesome as each day passes."

I chuckled and shoved his shoulder with my good
arm.
"You're one to talk."
I mumbled and he gave me a small wink before he grabbed
the snacks and drinks.

He pressed play and then sat down in the chair,
facing the screen.

"Are you comfortable?"
I asked and he looked at me.
"It's just.. It doesn't look like a very comfortable chair."

"It's the only one they've got and I've promised you a date
so I'm not going anywhere."
he replied.

"You don't have to but I can shuffle over so you can be
comfortable. It's a two hour movie."
I said and I shuffled over a bit.
"There's room for the two of us."

"I don't want to hurt you, though."
he said, concerned.
"What if I hurt you?"

"I'll kick you off myself, no worries."
I said as I shuffled over a bit more.

"I'm fine here, Haneul. Really."
he said and frowned.

"No, you're not. Stop being so stubborn. Otherwise
this will be the first and worst date I've ever had. I'll
tell everyone I know."
I said and raised one eyebrow.
"Your call."

"You're the worst."
he mumbled as he stood up.
"Fine."

I smiled triumphantly and patted the spot next to me.
"Sit down and enjoy the movie, my friend."

He rolled his eyes at me and then gently sat down, making
sure he didn't hurt me in the process.
When he was in place, his right side was completey pressed
against my left side and I tried to ignore the feeling in the
pit of my stomach at the close proximity.

"Comfortable?"
I asked as I looked at him.

He turned his face towards me and that's when I realized
how close he actually was. I could see the chocolate brown
color of his eyes and my breath got caught in my throat.
The silence dragged on for a while until he nodded. I'd almost
forgotten about the question I'd asked him.

"Good."
I replied with a small voice.
"Are you gonna press play or should I?"

"I'll do it."
he mumbled and he did as he said.

After a while I relaxed in the pillow, my nerves not on
edge anymore. He was just a boy and he was only there
because I was in the hospital. He said it was a date but I was
pretty sure it was more a joke than anything serious.

My eyes grew heavier when the movie was about
three quarters of the way in and I yawned.

"Do you want to sleep?"
Yoongi asked and I felt his warm breath on my cheek

I shook my head.
"No, I want to finish this. I'm okay."

I rested my head on his shoulder and I felt perfectly at
ease with him next to me.

It didn't take long for my eyes to close completely and
I fell into a peaceful sleep.

When I woke up the next day, I realized I couldn't move
quite as well as I should. I opened my eyes slowly and when
they adjusted to the light, I saw Yoongi had fallen asleep
next to me.

His arm was around my waist and his head rested
on my shoulder. His slow and steady breaths brushed
over my cheeks with every exhale and I smiled when I realized
his hand was on mine.

I had no idea how long I'd been looking at the black haired
man next to me when I saw the door to my room open.
A nurse peeked around the corner and I smiled at her.

"How did you sleep?"
she asked in a soft whisper and I gave her a big grin.

"Very well, to be honest."
I replied also softly as to not wake Yoongi.
"Can we maybe wait for a while with my check up?
He's been so sweet to me last night, I kind of want him
to sleep if we can."

She sighed.
"The things I do for you. I'll be back in thirty, okay?"

I nodded.
"Thank you."

"You're welcome. You know, you two make a cute couple."

"Oh he's not my boyfriend."
I mumbled with a small blush on my cheeks.
"We've only known each other for a few weeks and he's
only here because he was the one who found me."

She chuckled.
"If he's only here because of that, why would he go through
all this trouble for you?"

I wanted to say something but I didn't know what so I closed
my mouth again.

"My point exactly. Besides, that grin you just gave me tells
me more than words. I'll be back in half an hour."
she said with a wink and then she left.

"She has no idea what she's talking about."
I mumbled to myself and then focused my eyes
on Yoongi again.

After about ten minutes he stirred a bit and let out a long sigh
as he pulled me a bit closer to him. About ten seconds later he
woke up slightly and he blinked before I saw realization in his eyes.

"Goodmorning."
I said and smiled at him.

"Uh.. Hey. I'm sorry."
he said and he sat up, releasing my hand from his.
When he'd gotten up, I felt a small shiver run through my
body at the loss of contact and warmth.
"I didn't mean to.."

"It's fine, Yoongi."
I replied and stretched my arms a bit.
"Did you sleep well?"

He nodded with a slight blush on his cheeks.
"You?"

"Very well. You're a good sleeping partner."
I said and he quickly turned around, shy at my comment.

"I didn't hurt you?"
he asked after a while, concern on his face as he
looked at me again.

"No, I'm all good."
I replied.
"Yoongi, can I ask you something?"

"Anything."
he said but then the door went open and the nurse came in.

"Hi. Sorry, I had to come in early because the doctor needs to
know your body temperature. If you don't have a fever anymore,
you're gonna be discharged."

"I am?!"
I asked happily.
"Well, what are we waiting for!"

She put the thermometer in my ear and when it dinged, she
smiled.
"Well. I'm gonna miss you, Haneul."

I raised my hands up in the air, balling my fists.
"I'm going home!"

"Yes, you are."
she replied and she bumped my fist when I held it out to her.
"The doctor will be here shortly to make sure you can take
care of yourself at home. Maybe answer some questions
you might have but other than that, you're good to go.
Do you want to be rolled out of here or do you want to
walk?"
she asked leaving the choice up to me.

"Walk."
I said, immediately.

"I'll help her if she needs me."
Yoongi said with a nod at the nurse.

"Okay. Time to call your parents to come get you. I'll
make sure the paperwork is in order."
she said with a wink and a smile before leaving.

I did a little dance while sitting down and Yoongi smiled.
"That's great news."

"Yes, it is!"
Then I realized that maybe I wouldn't see Yoongi anymore.
Frowning, he walked over to me and placed his hand on my shoulder.

"What's the matter?"

"I guess you won't be visiting me anymore now I'm going
home. I kind of liked having you around."
I mumbled and looked up at him.
"You kind of made it bearable to be here for two weeks
without moving."

"You're afraid I'm not gonna visit you anymore?"
he asked a little amused.

"Well, I understand you did it because you felt obligated
and now that I'm going home-"

"I didn't do it because I felt obligated. Maybe the first day but
after that I came here because I wanted to. So I'll come by
your parents house to visit for sure."
He smiled.
"That is, if you'll have me."

I nodded.
"I do!"

"Then don't worry."
he said, squeezing my shoulder.
"You won't get rid of me so easily."

"I like the sound of that."
I replied and we just looked at each other, grinning like
idiots.

---

It had been six months since I'd walked out of the hospital
and I had no more metal on my leg. I had to go to therapy
every two weeks but I was doing pretty good. When it first
came off I had to overcome my fear of walking on my own
when I'd had help for so long in the form of the fixator.

Slowly but surely the faith in myself had come back and
I was walking again. No help, no fixator and no fear.

"Yoongs!"
I said as I walked over to him while he'd waited for me
at the beach.

"Took you long enough."
he muttered and I playfully shoved him where he stood.

"I ran into some traffic."
I replied.

"You walked here."
he said and I gave him a smile.

"Sometimes I wonder how I put up with you."
he mumbled and shook his head.

"You're just saying that."
I grabbed his hand in mine.
"Let's go."

We'd decided to take a walk on the beach so that's what
we did. His hand never left mine, we held hands more often
than not these days. He'd introduced me to some of his friends
and they all seemed really nice. I had a feeling that he didn't want his
friends around alot because when we met it was mostly
just us two.

Today though, after our walk, we had agreed to meet up with
his friends who'd decided it was time for a small fire on the
beach with food, drinks and some music.
It was the beginning of summer and it was nice out so
that seemed like a perfect plan.

When we got to the guys, Yoongi's hands slipped from mine.
I figured he didn't want anyone to get the wrong idea but
it still kind of stung.

"Hey guys."
I said as I sat down next to Jimin.

"Hey, how's the leg?"
Taehyung asked and I smiled.

"Still attached."

Jimin chuckled and I smiled at him.
"How've you been Jiminie?"

"Just fine. It's good to see you walking without that metal
around."

"Yeah, it was scary at first though. I kind of felt like my
bones wouldn't support me or that they'd break without
it but I got over that. How's the dancing coming along?"
I asked and got into a conversation with Jimin about
everything and nothing, enjoying ourselves.

Yoongi had found a seat across from me and I kept stealing
glances his way, the physical attraction too strong to ignore.

"How about a walk?"
Jimin asked and I nodded.

He helped me up and we announced that we were going
for a walk.

"Be careful, yeah?"
Yoongi asked and I nodded.

"Always am."
I smiled at him before turning to Jimin and walking with him.

"So.. What's the deal between you and Yoongi?"
he asked when we were out of earshot.

"What?"
I asked, shocked.
"Nothing?"

"You can't fool anyone, Haneul. Why is it taking so long
for one of you to act on your feelings?"
he asked, genuinely surprised.
"It's obvious you guys like each other alot."

"Oh I don't know.."
I mumbled and I looked back at the black haired man
sitting close to the fire. I studied his feautures and felt myself
smile when I heard him laugh and playfully shove Jin.
Jin then yelled something half angry and that made everyone
laugh.

Yoongi looked my way after a few seconds and gave me a small
wave so I did the same.

"Okay so maybe I really like him. Alot. I just don't know what
to do with it. And I don't know if he feels the same. Also, I'm
too chicken shit to ask him about it because I want him to stay
around and not let it get weird between us."
I said and Jimin nodded.

"I get it. He's your friend and if you go down a different
path everything might change. And you're wondering it
it's gonne be worth it?"

I sighed.
"I guess. He's nice to be around. I don't want him to leave."

Jimin looked at the group of friends.
"Yoongi has been happier ever since he met you, you know.
We all noticed it. It took a while because he'd first
seen you after the accident but when you were doing okay,
his mood changed, too. He was stuck with his music but
he hasn't been in a while. I think that's also because of you."

Jimin faced me again.
"Plus, he's not one to wear his heart on his sleeve but he tells
us things. We've known each other for years."

"I know. He always speaks so very fondly of you. He doesn't
really get us all together, though. I wonder why."
I replied.

"Isn't it obvious? He doesn't want to share you with us."

I frowned.
"But he doesn't have to share me. There's enough room
for everyone to just hang out."

"No but he's very protective of you and I just think that he
might be a little scared that when you see him with his friends,
you might change your opinion on him. Which is crazy of course
but he's only been like this once with another girl and he was
pretty crazy about her."

"What happened to them?"
I asked, looking at Yoongi who seemed in deep conversation
with the other guys now.

"They were together for three years until she broke up
with him. He was pretty adamant about not letting anyone
in again, like he did her."
Jimin said as he took a step closer and wrapped his arm
around my shoulder.
"I think he failed."

I chuckled.
"Who? Me? No way."

"Fine, don't believe me. I've only known him for almost ten
years."
he said as he winked.

"Ten years? Wow."
I mumbled and sighed.
"Okay, say you're right. How do I do this?"

"You're already doing it."
he replied and then started walking with me, his arm
still around me.
"Be you. And if you're ready, tell him how you feel.
He won't treat you any different and he won't make things
weird between you guys. He's not like that."

"You promise?"
I asked with a small voice.

"Pinky promise."

He held out his pinky and I clasped mine with his.
"Thanks, Jimin."

"You're welcome."
he said and then we were in ear shot so we dropped
the subject.

"Yah! You started drinks without us?!"
Jimin asked, looking at the others.

"Well, what took you so long?!"
Hoseok asked as he took another sip of his drink.

"Nothing that you need to know."
Jimin said and grabbed us something to drink
as well.

I felt a hand on the back of my shirt, pulling and I turned
around seeing it was Yoongi. I sat down next to him and took
the bottle off of my coke.

"You okay?"
he asked softly so no one would hear because they were
all talking, too.

"Of course. Are you having fun?"
I asked and he nodded.

"Sure. I've done this millions of times with the guys."

"It must be nice to have a group of friends to do this
kind of thing with. I only have one good friend. And I have
you, of course. So thanks for bringing me along."

"You're welcome but you don't have to thank me. I like
having you around."
he said as he faced the fire.

"I like having you around, too."
I admitted.

He faced me and then nudged my shoulder with a smile.

After a while, the sun was setting and it started to get a bit
colder. I didn't want to go home but I'd forgotten to take
a blanket with me so after a while I started to shiver.
I felt Yoongi shuffle closer to me and I felt the warmt radiate
off of him. He gave me his hoodie, too.

"But you'll be cold and then you don't have anything?"
I asked.

"I'll be fine. Just take it, will you?"
he said and shoved the piece of clothing in my hands.
"I'd rather see you comfortable."

"But-"

"No."
he said with a stern expression.
"Wear the damn hoodie."

I sighed.
"Fine. You're so annoying sometimes, you know that?"

"I'm probably as annoying as you are stubborn so we make
a good pair."
he said and he chuckled when I stuck out my tongue at him.

After about an hour of conversation, having a great laugh with
Hobi and Jungkook at Namjoon's fumbling with a bottle of
soda, I stood up to stretch my legs.

"I'll come with you, I need to stretch my legs as well."
Yoongi said as he stood up, too.

"Come where?"
I asked and he grabbed my hand.

"A walk."

"But we already walked before we got here?"
I asked but he didn't hear me or didn't want to because
he kept walking.

I half expected him to let go of my hand like he did before
but this time, his hand stayed in mine. We were slowly making
our way to the water in the dark. It was a full moon though so
there was enough natural light for us to see enough.

"So, what did you and Jimin talk about?"
he asked, as he stared at his feet.

"You."
I said and I had to stop myself from laughing when
his head shot up at my honest answer.
"As if you didn't figure that out."

"I didn't know for sure, though."
he said as he shrugged.
"What did he want?"

"Oh you know, the usual. Hurt my friend and I'll
hunt you down with knives and pitchforks."

"I don't think he has a pitchfork."

"He'll probably just use knives, then."
I replied and Yoongi snorted.

"You're so full of shit."

"Aw, thank you!"
I said and Yoongi laughed.

"I'm glad you find all this amusing. I'm afraid for my life
now Jimin threatened me."

"He didn't though. Jimin isn't like that."
Yoongi said with a shrug.
"We talked about you, too."

"You and Jimin?"
I asked, already knowing they did of course.

"Nah, me and the guys just now when you were off
with Jimin."

My eyes widened in surprise because I didn't expect that.
"Really? You sneaky, sneaky men."

I sighed.
"Well, I hope it wasn't too bad. I kind of like your friends."

"It was all very.. Interesting."
he replied as he smiled at me.

"Interesting doesn't necessarily sound good, though.
Should I worry?"

He shook his head.
"I kind of have something to tell you."

"That sounds serious. Is something wrong?"
I asked, concerned.

"I like you."
he blurted out and I wanted to tell him I liked him too
but he held out his hand.
"No, wait. That came out wrong. I'll do that again."

He turned his body towards me now, stopping and looking
me in the eyes.
"Haneul, I like you alot more than I probably should. I have
for a while now but I didn't know how to tell you because I
didn't want anything to change between us. But I realized that
if I'm not gonna be honest, I'll always wonder about what could
have been. I just needed you to know."

I looked for a lie in his eyes but there was none to be found.
"For real?"

"For real."
he answered and I squeezed his hands.

"I just talked to Jimin about this."

"You did?"
he asked surprised.

"Yeah. He asked me why it took us so long to tell
each other how we really felt. What did the guys say?"
I asked and he rolled his eyes.

"The same. Exactly the same. I can't believe them."
he muttered and he looked back at the fire where the
guys were still in conversation but I saw Namjoon and
Jimin's eyes glance over to us a few times and then
the guys laughed.

"They're so subtle about it."
I said and laughed.
"I think we should give them something to talk about,
don't you?"

"Like what?"

"I think you should kiss me."
I replied.

"You do?"
he asked, surprised again.

"I've liked you ever since you came to visit me in
the hospital and even more so when you fell asleep
next to me when we had our movie date there. I never
looked at anyone else anymore because no one will
compare to you. And they never will."
I took a small step towards him.
"I like you too, Min Yoongi. Also probably more than I should
but I kind of want to do this with you. If you'll have me."

"I had no idea you felt this way."
he said softly, his hand on my cheek now.

"I didn't know you did, either."
I mumbled.

I looked at his lips and then up to his eyes.
"I'm still waiting for that kiss."

He gave me a soft smile before leaning in and pressing
his lips on mine. I felt my heart speed up and melted against
him, his lips so terribly soft and warm.

My hands were on his chest and I felt his heart beat a little
faster than it had been a minute ago. When he pulled back,
his cheeks were slightly pink and I could imagine that mine
were, too.

"Can I steal another one?"
I asked after a few silent seconds had passed.

"Steal how many you want."
Yoongi said and I felt his hand in my neck, pulling
me closer to him.

He applied more pressure on my lips
this time and I felt my whole body respond to him. I wanted
to be as close to him as I could and was glad when his hand on
my back was gripping my shirt and pulling me against him. When
his tongue gently ran over my lips, I opened my mouth and let
him in to start a battle for dominance. I wasn't one who didn't
put up a fight but in this case, I didn't even get a chance.

It was like he'd been starving. His touch and kiss were full of
hunger. I bit his bottom lip hard enough for him to let
out a small moan and my breath hitched in my throat.
His moan was officially the most sexy, arousing sound
I'd ever heard.

It wasn't until we heard the boys errupt in cheers and
clapping that we realized that we weren't alone.
We broke the kiss, both panting and I looked up at him.

We just looked at each other for a while until Yoongi
frowned and looked at the guys. I did, too and saw they
were all looking at us. There were some loud whistles and
more cheers and I chuckled, burying my face against Yoongi's
chest. He placed one hand over the back of my head, gently
carressing my hair.

"Sorry about that."
he mumbled, his lips close to my forehead.

"Don't be. They're just happy. I kind of like them to be
honest."
I replied and stood on my toes to press my lips against
his for a small peck and earned some more clapping.
"But I like you best."

"You better. I did save your life after all."
he said sarcastically and I laughed.

"You sure did. In more ways than one. Come on, let's
go back. I'm kind of craving a snack."

"I'm right here."
Yoongi said with a mischievous look and I rolled my
eyes.

"This is how it's gonne be from now on? You making
inappropriate jokes when no ones around?"
I asked as we made our way back.

"No. I'll also do it when there are people around because
that's just how I am."
he replied.

"What have I gotten myself into?"
I groaned and he wrapped an arm around me and kissed
my temple.

"You'll get used to it."

"I might not want to!"
I said and shoved him away but he grabbed my hand
as he laughed.

"Finally!"
Hobi yelled then and wrapped us both in a hug.
"About damn time."

I chuckled.
"Yeah, yeah."

"Get off me."
Yoongi just said as he had a look of irritation on his face.
"You guys suck. You're matchmakers now?!"

Jimin smiled innocently and Namjoon shrugged.
"You needed a push. It was so obvious to everyone but
you two."

"Well, I am very thankful to you guys."
I said and smiled at Namjoon after what he'd said.

"So are you guys together now or what?"
Taehyung asked, a bit smile on his face.

"Well.."
I mumbled, looking at Yoongi but he'd already nodded.

"Yeah, obviously."
he replied and looked at me.
"I mean.. Aren't we?"

"Yeah. I just didn't want to jump to conclusions."
I looked at Taehyung.
"So yeah, obviously."

"Nice."
he said with a grin and nodding.

"Can we sit down now or do you have any other
questions?"
Yoongi asked and the guys al started talking at the
same time.
"Yah! Stop it!"

I laughed and pulled Yoongi with me, to sit down again.
He sat down next to me, then seemed to think about it,
stood up and then sat down behind me, wrapping his arms
around my body, resting his head on my shoulder.
"I can do this now and you have nothing do about it."
he said softly in my ear.

"I don't want to do anything about it. This is nice."
I leaned back against him and sighed.

He softly kissed my neck and I shivered.
"Don't do that, though."

He chuckled.
"Why not?"

"Because we're not alone."
I said and elbowed him in the ribs gently.

"I'll get you alone eventually, though."
he said brushing some hair away from my neck.

"Not if I get you alone, first."
I replied, placing my hands on his and watching the fire.
"And I am kind of looking forward to that, to be honest."

"Oh, you have no idea."
he mumbled against my neck and I shivered again.

"What did I just tell you?"
I said, laughing.

"That you're looking forward to getting me alone?"

"Before that."
I replied.

"Oh, that."
he answered, brushing his lips against my neck once more.
"I might not listen to that."

"I'm already regretting my decision."

"No, you don't. But it's good to know that your
weak spot is your neck."
Yoongi said then and I sighed.

"One of my weak spots."

"You do know I'll find them all, right?"
he asked and I nodded.

"I'm counting on it."

I didn't expect to gain much from the accident but I'd gained
Yoongi. And it was worth the pain and the struggles I had
to overcome, especially because he was the one who helped
me through them. Now that we were together, I could only hope
that I could do for him what he'd done for me. I knew for a fact that
I would try my hardest to be worthy of his love and I hoped
that I had a lifetime to prove it.
