A Painful Life

Forgiveness

Kimura's POV

Yumi... Why would she just take off like that? It just makes me feel like I want to doubt her sometimes. I clenched my hands, gritted my teeth and ran.I mean, duh I know it's that freak Orochimaru but she just ran out of the room without a word. Yumi...you can't do this yourself. I don't want my best friend... the first person I first have ever met to really care about me... the person who I can always trust and tell secrets to.... the person that is dear to me.... I hate to see you in pain, Yumi. Yumi? If you're there.. If you can hear me.. just answer. Yumi!

I winced. Why am I the one who gets hurt when I use telekinesis? Oww. Is this even normal? Sometimes I wished I never had this stupid ability crap. Man, I shouldn't use this much. It drains my energy and weakens my body. I skidded to an abrupt halt.

"Yumi-chan! Mate!" I yelled. "Kakashi-sensei! Sas--!"

I was interrupted by a giggle of pleasure. I flinched.

"Well aren't I a lucky fellow today. Unfortunately, this mission was quite easier than I had expected. I was hoping for more entertainment. But everything just came to me automatically.," Orochimaru laughed pleasently." Come, my dear Kimura. You seem to be most powerful and extremely adorable. Maybe I can get and use you for now. A child to not be in a state of unconsciousness when I have bitten them. That is most impressive."

Orochimaru pointed a white finger at me, palm faced upward, and curled the finger inward. Yumi growled angrily.

"Bastard. Don't even think about taking her and don't even think that she is coming to you anytime soon. She knows better and I'll prevent that from happening no matter what!" she practically screamed.

He smiled twistedly. "Or perhaps you want me to take you instead? No worries. I still want your body. It's quite powerful.. but you just do not know how to use it properly. I can put you under my wing and you'll be a great Shinobi in no time."

"Why you--!!!"

Then Yumi did something I was thinking she would do. Just like Naruto. Every time. She charged up at him with full speed, her fist ready to blow at him.

"Kimura! STOP YUMI! NOW!" Kakashi shouted, unable to let go of Sasuke's resting body.

He was a tad late, 'cause I was already after Yumi. In a flash, I grabbed both of her arms so she could stay still. Yumi struggled to free herself and attack.

"Kimura! Let go of me! Who's side are you on?" she asked.

"Obviously yours! But you're trying to attack him. It's not a good idea. Save your chakra for the Chunin Exams. Don't waste anything on him." I insisted.

Yumi tried to jerk away. "No way! I'm going to kill him if that's the last thing I do. Kimura....Let me atleast just injure him!"

"No!"

I slowly let her go, making her take a couple of steps back along with me. I heard Kakashi sigh in relief.

Kakashi-sensei.. I said, biting on my lip, telling it to Kakashi through mind. Take Sasuke away. He needs to be put in care. I'll deal with this.

Fine. But I will have a clone here to watch you two. Be careful.

I watched Kakashi made is diversion to distract Orochimaru while he secretely got away, the clone of him replacing the real him.

"I'm not a fool, Kimura, Yumi. I know your teacher has left and replaced it with a pathetic clone. Would you like me to show you?"

"No!" Yumi and I both shouted.

Orochimaru did something faster than my eyes could see and immediately, the clone turned into a puff of smoke. I let out a squeak. Aw man! I think we're dead!

"Yumi," I hissed. "We gotta get outta here."

"..."

"Yumi!" I repeated, nudging her.

She didn't answer and I suddenly started to worry. I looked to my side at her. Her eyes were all blank. I shook her roughly. "Yumi!"

Orochimaru chortled. " Your little friend is stuck in genjutsu."

Yumi trembled and slid onto her knees, her hands firmly over her ears. "No! Stop it! It hurts! STOP!" she shrieked.

"Yumi!" I yelled, my voice full of fear.

I tried to wake her up, using the way my sensei showed me how to break the jutsu. But it wouldn't work. It's too powerful. Come on!!

I did quick handsigns and used my fire style jutsu, aiming it at Orochimaru. It was my most known awsomest jutsu. Fire Follower. It chases after the opponent until the person get burnt. I invented and taught it myself. Heh heh.

But you know what? Damn Orochimaru has to ruin it. He used a Water Syle Technique to put it out. Okay... we're busted.

"Kimura!" Yumi's voice came into my head.

Thank God. Yumi's out of the genjutsu. I heaved a small sigh. But it was a little too early for relaxation. Orochimaru threw an attack directly at Yumi. I activated my Sharingan, screamed, and moved Yumi and I out of the way. I fell and hit the ground, scraping my knee. It bled.

"Agh," I said, trying to quickly bandage my leg.

Yumi gasped when she saw my gash. She came up and punched and kicked him fiercely. "You, bastard!"

He dodged them all except one. That one, Yumi managed to kick him in the gut. Yumi have a small laugh. "That's what you get."

A smile came upon his face." Sometimes, I just want to kill you, Kyoro. But I'm terribly kind that I'm not."

All of a sudden a black haired guy....who I absolutely was not expecting, appeared in the air in a flash above Orochimaru and slashed him down the middle with his sword.

Blood splashed everywhere in a mess but then disappeared in a puff of smoke. I groaned. "I should've known."

"About me or about the clone?" the guy asked.

"Len!" I almost squealed running into his arms.

He hugged me. "Are you okay?"

The memory of Shii resting her head on Len's shoulder flashed right back inside my head. I pushed him away angrily, looking away.

"Idiot," I mumbled.

"W-what's wrong?" he asked me, bewildered. " Are you mad?"

I snorted.

"You're jealous?"

"Of what?" I snapped. I am NOT!

"Listen, Kimura. There's nothing between Shii and I. I swear," he said solemnly.

"Dun dun daa!!!" Yumi sang in the background.

The two of us sweat dropped. "Will you be quiet?"

"But It makes it fun and dramatic," she argued.

"Eh," said Len. "Is your leg okay?"

"It's fine. It'll heal soon," I assured.

"Come one. Let's head back to the rounds."

I nodded. "Okay."
