Fallen Angel
Rhyanidd and Carell have been in love since what feels like the day they met, but where they come from, that's not quite something to be proud of. Turns out that falling in love (and the lust that inevitably comes with it) can get you kicked out of Heaven.
Rhyanidd is devastated when this happens; she's dedicated her life to being a guardian angel, to doing good deeds for other people, and being ostracized from her home puts a bit of a black-spot on her record. She quickly accepts the task offered to her by God: she must bide her time on Earth, find, and kill Lucifer's demon, no matter which form he takes. In exchange, she will be offered redemption and salvation, and return to Heaven.
Carell, on the other hand, is simply bitter, which gives way to anger and eventually hate. And this gives the demon that Rhyanidd hunts the perfect chance. What better way to survive than to inhabit the body of the one person Rhyanidd would never kill?
