I'm Not What You Expected.

I stared at Edward for some time before turning to look at Alice who was sitting next to him, Emmet next to her, and Jasper on the other side of Edward.

"So..." I spoke

"Why don't you tell us why you're here for."

"Gas." I said stating the obvious

"We're not stupid." Alice then spoke

"Um you can go check my car it's on the side of the road with no gas."

They all looked at me, and it was starting to make me uncomfortable. I sighed and unblocked my mind so I was only able to talk to Edward.

Why are you doing this? I asked him

Now you want to talk to me?

Better than talking to everybody else.

He didn't reply right away, he was probably thinking of the best way to answer, then I realized how quite the living room had become since nobody was actually talking.

I told her what I thought.

Now I stayed quite not really being able to think of what to say next.

He knew I was serious about this, he sighed and agreed.

"Lene is it?"

I looked away from Edward and met Mr. Cullen smiling at me.

"Yes." I replied

"We can take you to a gas station to get gas if you want."

"Oh that would be great."

"I'll take her." Edward spoke

"Thanks Edward." I smiled at him

He stood up, then I did I thanked Mr. Cullen and walked out the door following Edward to a garage.

"Anything else?" I asked

"How did you know about us?"

"The man, or I should the one who turned me told me about you guys when he left me alone, and I tried looking for you guys to feel like I belonged somewhere but I just couldn't bring myself to talk to you guys."

"Now you are." He smiled

"But you still can't tell anybody."

"I won't but I don't see what the problem is."

"I want to answer some questions by myself before I know what to do next."

He opened the car door for me, and I got in, then Edward did.

"So how did you know we lived here?"

"I kind of followed you last nigh after you left Bella's house."

"very smart."

"Thanks." I laughed

he started to drive out, as soon as we hit the third mile he saw my car dead on the road.

"Guess you weren't lying."

"Told you."

He smiled and headed towards the nearest gas station, I smiled to myself I hadn't really had a conversation like this before were I didn't have to hide anything.

"Edward?"

"Yeah?"

"Friends?" I asked

"Friends." He smiled.
