I'm Not What You Expected.

Lene's POV

"Alexander?" I called out as I went in my house

"So that's the werewolf." He said looking out the window.

"His name is Jacob."

"How can you stand that smell?" He said as he wrinkled his nose.

"I don't see what's wrong with it."

"So boyfriend huh?"

"I told you I love him."

"Does he know?"

"Know about what?"

"Who you are? Well I mean he can smell can't he?"

"I'm not sure if he does."

"What?"

"Well the Cullen's have a truce with the pack, and they talked to the main one, if he knows then Jacob must know."

"And he doesn't have a problem?"

"I'm not sure if he does know or not."

I walked to the living room then sat down on the couch.

"What do you love about him?"

"What do you care?"

"I don't I'm just curious."

"He makes me happy, he makes me feel alive."

"You're well dead Ann."

"Not when I'm with him, he makes me come back to life."

"Or so you think."

"He does, my hearts starts beating, I need oxygen to breath, I'm alive when he's with me Alexander he makes me human."

Alexander examined my face, then looked away thinking of what that could mean.

"He's your weakness."

"huh?"

"Do you know why you're only half human?"

"No but I would love to know."

"While I was away I tried figuring out what was wrong with you."

"Hey that's not nice."

"You know what I meant."

"Keep going."

"So I went to visit the Vultiri and told them about you."

"What did they say?"

"You were weak when I decided to turn you, you should have died that night instead of surviving, but there was something about you that made you as strong as one of us."

"Uh..." I said a bit confused

"You're human because you have a weakness, and you're a vampire because you're strong in mind, that's why you can block Edward's thought but there's more to that and that should be for another time."

"So I'm weak but strong?"

"Yes in short then yes."

"Well that was less complicated that I thought"

"And when you told me what Jacob did to you, it all made sense."

"What?"

"Love is your weakness Ann, his and your love for each other is so strong that the weakness in you takes over your strong part, because you wish you could be together with him without no worries, you wish to be human more than anything."

I stared at Alexander wide eyed, this was so much to learn in one day, even if I've been wanting to know all of this for some time. I just couldn't believe I was finally getting answers.

"But then the whole Edward thing."

"That's for another chat, when he's around."

"Um well from what happened earlier I don't think he's going to want to have a word with you."

"He doesn't have to know, just invite him over and that settles it."

"But can that happen?"

"What?"

"I can be human again?"

Alexander chuckled and sat down next to me.

"Ann, you will always be what you are, no matter what. What he does to you is just your desire of life. But you can't be someone you're not."

"But I am human."

"Hardly you're less human than anything."

"But what if I ran out of oxygen, and suffocated I would die, wouldn't I?"

"Yes I suppose."

"Then I would have died a human."

"Ann, you're not going to die okay."

"Okay, but neither is Jacob, I'm making sure of that."

"You can't stop the inevitable."

"Nothing is going to happen to him, or Bella, nothing."

"There's nothing you can do."

I glared at him, I wasn't going to let his stupid future seeing ruin my life, because I would give my life for Jacob and Bella if it came down to that.

"I'll be back later, nice seeing you again Ann."

"Bye." I said in a flat voice

He chuckled and left, leaving me alone. Not that I minded at all.
