You And Me Together

I sat on the couch beside Joe, biting my bottom lip.

"You know, we probably could've invited your brothers. There is enough room." Katie said,
popping some popcorn into her mouth. I grabbed a handful, and threw it at her.

"My brothers aren't that bad, are they?" Joe chuckled. I smirked.

"No. I'm still mad at her for making me watch that movie." I shivered, feeling goosebumps
suddenly appear.

"You agreed!" Claire giggled, taking a sip of her drink. My friends acted so natural around
him, and I acted so... Nervous? Maybe because Iwas the one dating him though?

"Whatever!" I laughed, throwing a handful of popcorn at Claire now. She squealed. It was
raining even harder out now, and lightning was starting up.

Crash!

We all jumped, except for Joe. He grinned.

Knock knock

Claire looked at me.

"What if it's some creepy dude?" She asked. I looked over at Joe, then stood up. I walked
over to the door, opening it. Just as I did, a flash of lightning went through the sky, which
didn't help. I screamed at the top of my lungs.

"Aly!" Joe shouted, running over to me. I blushed a little, then looked at the two people
standing in the doorway.

"Alyssa! Are you alright?" Claire's father asked. I sighed, and nodded.

"You just scared me." I said, trying to catch my breath. They walked past me and Joe, and
into the cabin.

"Sorry about that, dear." He said. I nodded.
