You And Me Together

I watched as Paul spoke to someone on the phone. He hung up, then started talking to my parents.

"How'd you all like to come over to our house for dinner?" My father asked. I spun around, looking at him. He hated the Jonas family, so why he was inviting them over, was beyond me.

"We'd love to." Denise answered. Joe broke his stare from the TV, then turned to me.

"I think your parents are asking me out!" He kidded. I smirked, leaning closer to him.

"You wish you were that lucky." I giggled. He put his arm around my head, and pulled me closer to him.

"Alyssa, can you calltheboysto the dinner table please?" Denise asked. I nodded, and walked over to him. He sat on the couch, beside Kevin and Nick, watching TV.

"Guys, it's time to eat." I said. Without looking away from the TV, Joe shook his head.

"Give me a sec." He said. I frowned.

"Joe Jonas! I've given you enough secs!" I shouted. Everyone looked at me. That's when it hit me. The word 'secs' sounds exactly like the word 'sex'. Big mistake saying that.

"Alyssa!" My parents both shouted. I covered my mouth. It sounded so wrong.

"So Aly, when exactly were you planning on telling me this?" Joe kidded. I tried my hardest not to laugh.

"My bad." I whispered. I saw Joe burst into laughter. I hit his arm.

"You're not helping!" I said, folding my arms over my chest for dramatic effect.

"So... Who's ready for dinner?" I asked, bit my bottom lip. Everyone's eyes were still focused on me.

"Oh come on! I meant secs as in seconds!" I shouted, getting annoyed. I looked over at Joe
for help, he only smirked. I probably would've died at that moment, if Katie and Claire hadn't ran into my house.

"Alyssa! We have a problem!" Claire shouted, stopping in her tracks when she saw everyone now looking at her.

"Hey, nice hair." I smiled. Katie paused when she saw Kevin.

"No! I hate it!" She said, running over to me. I loved how they didn't care that they were interupting us, but that was fine with me.

"Come on, it's pretty!" I said, looking at her hair. It was really short, but looked really cute.

"I like it." Nick said quietly. Claire tore her head away from my shoulder, and looked at him.

"Oh great! Let me make a fool of myself when hottie McGee is here!" She shouted, quickly covering her mouth.

"I didn't think that, did I?" She asked. I slowly shook my head.

"On the plus side... You took the heat off me?" I said, trying to cheer her up. I knew it wouldn't work.

"Oh geez! What'd you do?" Katie asked. I saw Joe starting to shake from holding in a laugh, then he burst out again.

"I was telling the boys to come to the table to eat, and Joe told me 'Give me a sec.' so I got annoyed and shouted 'NO! I've given you enough secs!'" I laughed. This time, Nick, Kevin, Katie, and Claire also burst into tears. It was really funny, but I knew I'd probably be in trouble later.

"Wow. I never knew you two were that close." Katie kidded.

"Well... This is slightly awkward." Joe sang. I looked at him, smirking.

"Yeah."I said, not sure what to say.

"Claire, Katie. Would you also like to stay for supper?" My mom asked. They both nodded.

"You kids can just eat at the couch, just don't make a mess." My father sighed. I grinned.

"Thank you." I said, quickly taking two of the four boxes of pizza off the table, and over to the couch. I sat between Joe and Claire. Claire sat beside Nick. Katie sat beside Kevin, who sat beside Joe. I looked up suddenly.

"Where's Arianna and Gavin?" I asked, looking around. Everyone shrugged.

"Fuck!" I shouted, jumping to my feet. Everyone looked at me. Without caring, I ran as fast as I could up the stairs.

"Gavin! Leave Ari alone!" I said, turning the corner to Arianna's room. I sat Arianna laying there, her head bleeding. I covered my mouth.

"Mom! Dad!" I screamed as loud as I could. I heard a few things shatter, and EVERYONE'S footsteps run up.

"Ari! Are you alright?" I asked, falling to the floor beside her. I brushed some hair out of her face.

Slam!

I looked behind me to see the door now closed, and Gavin standing in front of it. I noticed Arianna open her eyes a little.

"Gavin, what did you do to her?" I asked, standing up slowly. He smirked.

"Oh that? I told her that if she didn't let me near you, I'd just go for her. And what do you know, two in one." He said. I heard someone banging on the door.

"Aly! Are you alright?" Joe shouted. I shut my eyes.

"Joe! Call the police! Ari's bleeding, and Gavin's in here!" I shouted back. Gavin walked closer to me, I stood my ground.

"So now what? No one can get to you, and save you two." He said. I glared, and started to shake.

"What now? Your boyfriend can't save you this time." He said. I took a deep breath.

"Just leave me, my family, and friends alone!" I shouted to him, slapping his face. He grabbed my wrist, tightening his grip.

"Gavin. Leave her alone." Arianna said quietly. He let go, and walked around me to her.

"Why?" He asked. I took another breath.

"She's my sister." She spoke. Gavin grinned, then frowned. He picked his foot up, and kicked her again. I saw her cough up blood.

"Ari! Gavin, quit it!" I shouted. I was scared. This was all happening so quickly.

"Aly!" Claire shouted. I heard something smash against the door. I ran to it, to try and unlock it. Gavin beat me to it, pushing me against it. I looked around, I needed something to defend myself with.

"Eat staples!" I shouted, grabbing a stapler. He smirked, grabbing it from me, and tossing it to the ground.

"Listen bitch. If you want your sister, your family, friends, and boyfriend safe, you're going to do what I say." He said. I paused. I wasn't about to let him hurt any of the people inside this house.

"...Fine." I muttered. I looked behind Gavin, to see Arianna weakly stand up.

"Good. First thing, I need you to kiss me." He said, smirking. I mad a face.

"Eww!" I said. Okay, this wasn't scary anymore, it was lame. Now, I was just annoyed.

"Do it!" He shouted. I frowned.

"No!" I simply shouted, pushing him off me. He stumbled backwards.

"So you don't care about your family?" He asked. I nodded.

"I love them, but."I smirked. He gave me a look.

"But what?" He asked, ticked off.

"Look behind you." I giggled. He looked at me, then looked behind him.

SMASH!

I felt a wave of relief for through my body. Gavin fell to the ground, Joe holding him down.

"What the -" Gavin said, getting his mouth covered by Joe's hand.

"Don't say it. My little brothers out there." Joe said, looking from, Gavin to me. I grinned.

"Aly, unlock the door." He said. I nodded, unlocking the door. The police barged in. Now this didn't seem like anything that could possibly happen, ever. It happened so quickly, and was so... Strange? They grabbed Gavin, so Joe stood up. I ran into him.

"Funk, this was retarded!" I shouted. He smiled.

"I agree. And what's even better, you probably just saved everyone here." He said. I nodded. He pulled me closer into him, as close as we could get.
