You And Me Together
Nice house
I looked at Joe, shocked. He had actually kissed me, in front of everyone. Usually people tried keeping that sort of thing hidden.
"Come, I still want to show you something." Joe grinned. I nodded, following him. He
grabbed my hand, pulling my body after his.
"Bye you two!" Claire and Katie giggled. I spun around, sticking my tongue out at them. Joe
chuckled.
"So what is it you want to show me?" I asked, rubbing my arms. I was somewhat cold, sure,
it was late spring, but that still didn't help.
"First, I want to show you how to stay warm,"He paused, pulling his black sweatshirt off, and
placing it over my torso. I blushed.
"Thanks." I smiled. He opened my door, and watched as I climbed in the jeep. He closed
the door, then ran over to the other side, and got in.
"Now, I want to show you were I'll be staying for the next little while." He said. I looked
confused, probably because I was.
"Why do you want to show me where you're going to be living?" I asked. He smirked.
"Tell me if it rings a bell." He said, pulling into a driveway. I looked around, getting out of the
jeep.
"You're renting the house across from mine?" I smiled. He nodded.
"Wait, how did you know where I lived?" I asked, looking at the house. He walked behind
me, hugging my waist.
"I have my sources." He grinned. I laughed.
"So you and your brothers are staying at this house for a few weeks?" I asked. He shook his
head.
"For a few months. We're taking a much needed vacation, and bring our mom, dad, and
Frankie out from New Jersey to spend some time with us." He added. I grinned.
"Wow." I spit out. He laughed, shaking me a little.
"Wanna see the inside?" Joe asked. I smiled, nodding.
"Sure." I said. I started walking towards the house, with him right behind me.
"Alyssa! Get over here NOW!" My father shouted. Joe and I both spun around, looking across
the street.
"Now!" He repeated himself. I looked up at Joe. He let go of my waist.
"I'll talk to you later, Joe. Bye." I said. He nodded, watching me cross the street.
"Inside!" My dad shouted, pulling me in. I followed him, waving to Joe. Embarrassing, yes!
"Who was that boy? Why weren't you in school? Where'd you get that shirt?" He asked. I
covered his mouth with my hand.
"He's my friend. He picked me up, and it's his shirt. I was cold, and he lent it to me." I said.
He frowned.
"After dinner, return that shirt, then we're going over to visit the new neighbors." He said. I
gave him a look, and shook it off.
"Okay." I said. Did he not know that Joe and his family were the new neighbors? Obviously
not, but whatever.
"I could return the shirt now..." I said. He frowned again.
"Fine, but quickly." My dad growled. I nodded, running out the door. I ran across the street,
knocking on the door. Joe opened it, now grinning.
"Hello again, Aly." He said, pulling me closer to him. I could feel my heart racing.
"Hey. My dad wanted me to quickly give you your shirt back, and then we're coming over after
dinner to say hello." I smiled. He smirked.
"So you'll meet my whole family?" He asked.I nodded.
"As long as they're here by 5 tonight." I said, pulling away a little. I pulled Joe's sweatshirt off,
and handed it to him.
"Thank you." He said, throwing it behind him. I laughed.
"Actually though, I gotta go, or I'll get in more trouble. I'll see you tonight though, okay?" I
asked. He nodded, pulling me into him again. I giggled.
"See you in a few hours then." He said, kissing me. I could feel my cheeks turn red, and my
lips go numb.
"Bye Joe." I said. He let go of my body.
"Bye Aly." He smiled.
