You And Me Together
Hospital Emergency
I blushed, wrapping my arms around Joe's neck. I could feel my father's glare on us both.
"Alyssa! Get in the house!" He shouted. I could feel the butterflies in my stomach. My heart
was racing.
"Aly? Alyssa!" I heard Joe shout, but it sounded like a whisper. Suddenly, everything went black.
---
I slowly opened my eyes to look around. I wasn't in my room, or any place familiar. The room smelt like medicines of all types. I sat up a little, looking around. I watched as a nurse walked into the room.
"Excuse me, but why am I in here?" I asked, suddenly scared. She looked at me, smiling.
"It's okay honey. You just blacked out, it's nothing serious." She said. I sat up more.
"So, I can leave then, right?" I asked. The nurse walked over to me.
"If you think you're ready. You've been in here for a day already, so I think it's fine. Just grab
your things, and you can leave. Do you have someone to give you a ride home?" She asked.
I paused.
"Yeah, I'll call a friend quickly." I said, smiling. I stood up, and grabbed my clothes. I walked
into the rooms bathroom, and quickly changed into green jogging pants, and a brown t-shirt.
"Can I use the phone out there?" I asked. The nurse nodded.
"Thank you." I grinned, walking out of the room.
"Aly!" I heard Joe shout. I spun around.
"Joe!" I grinned, running to him. He picked me up, kissing my lips. I could feel myself blush.
I pulled away to look at him.
"You waited for me?" I asked. He nodded. I bit my lower lip.
"Thank you." I said, wrapping my arms around his neck. Now that I met him, I couldn't
imagine my life any other way.
"Wait, what happened to my dad?" I asked. Joe suddenly frowned.
"Well, when you fainted, he went into pure shock, and also fainted. He's going to be fine, but
he's going to be in here longer." He said. I looked down, nodding.
"I didn't mean to cause any trouble." I muttered. He pulled my body into his tightly.
"Don't worry, he's going to be fine." He said, kissing my forehead.
"Changing the subject?" I asked, now smiling. He smirked.
"My dad never did meet you, and he wants to. Come to my house!" He said. I laughed,
nodding.
"Okay." I said, following him outside. We got in the jeep, and started driving to Joe's house.
"So my mom and Arianna know I was at the hospital, right?" I asked, feeling bad about
leaving my dad behind. Joe nodded, pulling into the driveway.
"Yeah, they came down a while ago, but left shortly after." He said, opening my door for me. I
grinned.
"Dad!" Joe simply shouted, hugging my waist. I saw an older man run out of the house, then
stop. He smiled.
"This must be Alyssa." He said. I nodded.
"Hello." I said, offering him my hand. He took it, and started shaking.
"You can call me Paul." He said, letting my hand go.
"Okay." I smiled. He grinned.
"I'll see you kids later." He said, walking back into the house. Joe spun my body around, to
face him. I giggled.
"You totally owe me. I stayed up the night for you." He kidded. I smirked, leaning into him until our lips crashed into each other.
