Laurel is rich. She has all the comforts she needs, and her friend are wonderful. But when her first love leaves her and her parents die, she finds no one to lean on. As a result, she becomes a terrified introvert, revealing only a cold exterior to those who attempt to befriend her.

then, suddenly, her Greek ancestry is brought to the attention of Zeus, and Laurel is forced into baby-sitting the god Apollo, who has once more angered his father. Will she be able to cope with a narcissistic god, and cruel schoolmates- enemies she's created with her own cruelty- , or will she fall to the tension building ever greater inside of her?
