True Love is Not a Diamond Ring

Chapter 4

As soon as I heard that high pitched screech, I slapped my hands over my ears and screamed myself.

Jeremy stood up, screaming "Woooooooo-eeeee!" at such a high pitch that I felt that my head was tingling, like pins and needles. He swiped a small, short-fingered hand at his complex little structure that he had just been so concentrated on.

He then proceeded to dart from the room and into the living room, waving his hand wildly, the other pulling at his blonde hair. He continued screaming "Wooooo-eee!" randomly while he ran.

He knocked over a vase, which crashed to the ground and shattered near my foot as I chased him.

I hopped over the mess and tried to grab him, as I heard a loud "knock-knock-knock" on my front door.

Definitely not mom.

I stood there, not knowing what to do. Obviously someone thought something was wrong because of the intense, loud fit that Jeremy was having. What would they think if I didn't open the door? But on the other hand, what if I did open the door, and the person saw Jeremy?

I bit my lip, and left Jeremy to run around while I opened the door a slight crack.

It was Brandon.
