With You Always

"I wish we could stay like this forever." Ellie's head is on Ryan's lap as he sits with his back against a tree.

"Well......if you moved out, we could," He hinted.

"Ryan, I can't. But I'll stay with you for a while."

She smiles, looking up at the sky.

"I get to see Lily next week," He smiles down at Ellie.

"That's great!" She screams, twist around to give him a hug, and kissing his cheek.

"You don't have to wear your sweatshirt when it's just the two of us, you know."

"I guess," Ellie pulls off her sweatshirt to reveal her pale, bruised arms.

Ryan touches a bruise softly. Ellie puts her head back on his lap, sighing deeply.

They sit in silence, Ryan stroking Ellie's arm as she stares at the darkening sky.

If I had one day to relive without changing anything, it would be that one.
