The French Monsters

I carried on running, not stopping. I didn’t want to get taken away. I was panicking when suddenly I was pulled away by someone and pushed behind a box. I was starting to wonder why I was pulled away when I heard a big explosion and saw a flash of light. I looked behind where I was hiding to find the building I was running from had gone. I stood up and looked around to find a man running away. I chased after him wondering if he was the man who saved me. I went round the corner and saw a blue police box, like the ones from the old movies. I opened the door to find a enormous room. I couldn't’t be real, it must be a trick but it wasn’t it was real. Then suddenly the whole room started to shake and groan.

As I was getting my balance I saw the man that I was chasing. He was a tall thin man who had brown hair and brown eyes. He wore a suit with a long brown coat and he had red basketball trainers like mine. I had just got up when he spotted me and came over. “Who are you and how did you get in the tardis” said the man. “I ‘am Hayley” I explained “and who are you and were am I”.” “Well I ‘am the Doctor and this is the tardis. It’s a time and space machine and it can travel anywhere” said the Doctor.”Can we go to France in 1900? I’ve never been to France before” I asked. “Ok but one trip, and only one trip”. “Thanks Doc” I said.

The tardis started to rumble again and I nearly fell over. Then it all stopped and all you could here was the silent humming of the tardis.”Come on then I thought you said you wanted to see France” called the Doctor.”Coming” I said as I begin to run to the door. I pushed the door open to find myself in the middle of France. I picked up a newspaper and read the date.”1900 just like I said” I mumbled. “This is amazing, absolutely amazing. This can’t be real, it just can’t be”.” “Well it is, France 1900 just like you asked “replied the Doctor. I just stood there for a couple of seconds while the Doctor started to read the newspaper.”What are you reading” I said.”The news” said the Doctor. “I know that I meant what news are you reading.””It says that children have been going missing around here.” “I never knew you read French. Wait there that’s English I thought you said this was France.” “This is France” replied the Doctor.” Then how come the newspaper is in English.” ” The tardis translates things for you so you can understand what everyone is saying.” “You could have told me that before.” ”Sorry, now let’s explore this part of France and see if we can find the mystery of the missing children.”
