Soubrette

Sou`brette, n. [F.] A meddlesome, mischievous female servant or young woman.

After being kidnapped by a mysterious man, fourteen year old Alyce is dragged through a few places before reaching her destination: the mansion of a rich old man. Alyce is forced into becoming one of the numerous maids, and the title "Soubrette" soon fits her. When she meets a boy close to her age who is also forced into slavery and is planning an escape, will she be able to go with him? Or will she be forced to live te same life as the other girls?
